    Bitcoin Delay

Anyone else having Bitcoin delays? I am depositing and it's been almost 5 hours with no confirmations.

Thoughts? Anyway to speed this up?

    This is being discussed here:

    http://www.sportsbookreview.com/foru...ain-delay.html

There is a backlog of unconfirmed transactions, there will be delays while the network tries to catch up.

Here you can check the number of unconfirmed transactions, anything under 10k is "normal", anything over 20k will result in significant delays unless you pay a high fee while you send the coins to get a high priority in the blockchain.

I'm at 30 hours with no confirmations.

Have you deposited with the Blockchain Wallet?

It's a bit nerve-wracking having one's funds debited from one's wallet yet not arriving at its destination. (Sportsbook)

This phenomenon has happen in the past, and the only action seems to be to "wait it out."

A "rebroadcast" (at Blockchain Wallet) was the spark that got things going in the past; but right now, at least for me, it's been ineffective.

"Hurry up and wait" used to be a slogan used in the shipping industry, and unfortunately it seems applicable here.

Not much you can do. I just received a payout from Bookmaker and got it confirmed within 20mins...now sent it to my exchange and it also was confirmed after about half an hour.

Just wondering, brother. Did your transaction reach AirBitz and not make it to 5Ds?

Or did it never reach Airbitz?

Don't mean to be nosey, but I'm trying to learn more too.

I went from Circle to Airbitz in literally 20 seconds. Airbitz to 5Dimes has taken 6 hours now. Usually takes 20 minutes tops.

Last night when I went to bed last night blockchain unconfirmed transactions were at 20000 and falling. I wake up this morning and they're back up to 47000! What is causing these huge glugs in the system does anyone know?

Yes you can send, but you wont get any confirmations on your new transaction until after the first transaction on multibit is confirmed

It is due to an issue with the blocksize becoming too large for the system to cope with.

There is supposed to be a fix being applied around December 7th AFAIK.

got this message from my wallet

Sorry for the inconvenience caused. Unfortunately the bitcoin network (Blockchain) is having a slowdown right now, it should resume operations shortly. Since Paxful is using BitGo to broadcast transactions and the TX ID was received, it will take some time until all other nodes on bitcoin network will see that transaction too.

    Never using this wallet again
