    5D Bet Gone

Placed a bet during halftime last night of BYU/Arizona, Arizona makes next score, I think it was +115. Didn't put much on it, Arizona kicked a FG in the 3rd quarter and the bet won and was marked as won in my graded wagers. After the game, I checked my other bets and noticed the bet that was for the next score was gone. It was not in my archived wagers, transactions or graded wagers. It was just gone. Contacting customer support and they said the ticket didn't exist, nothing they can do.

Surely I can't be the only one this has happened to? Not only did I not win, my initial wager is also gone. They say no ticket, nothing they can do.

To expand, I placed 3 bets during halftime as I just got home and wanted some action. Went in my den, turned on the pc, turned on the tv... loaded up 5D, placed no score first 5:30 and Arizona scores next. Watched the game with 5D open and sort of browsing the net. Checked graded wagers after Zona hit the fg and saw both were already graded as wins. Sat there watched the rest of the game (good game), won my 3rd bet, Zona wins 2nd half. Waited about an hour to check 5d because those bets usually take a little longer to grade, and expecting 3 wins I only saw 2 wins. Took me a second to figure out the Zona scores next bet was gone. Looked at transactions thinking this should be an easy fix, and noticed it was also gone from there.

So yes, this isn't a 'phantom' wager that I thought I placed but actually didn't... I was sitting there with the browser open watching the game and SAW with my own two eyes the graded tickets. They stood out in stark contrast to my last 3 losses. I don't know how this happened, I can only assume it's a glitch or a bug on their end, Im not much of a conspiracy guy, Im sure they make plenty of money without screwing with people. But I have no recourse, I mean, it's not like Im taking screen shots of my bets (or probably video would be better, harder to manipulate). And of course customer service has no ticket, so I didn't really expect them to do anything about it. Pretty frustrating regardless... what if it was a bigger bet? That's sort of what gives me pause about moving on and continuing with 5D, after thousands of bets without an issue (a few misgrades that were always fixed, but that's it).

We always suggest players take a screen capture of their bets which helps with disputes and also reminds players to hit the confirm button for the final readout. Did you contact 5Dimes via live help and confirm that they had no wagers from your account?

I did, they did not see a ticket when I gave them the ticket number. Really not much they were going to do for me. I will screen capture bets in the future, but I find having to do that silly.

It's a necessity to do that, and you also need to screenshot all relevant account actions such as deposits, withdrawals, addition of bonuses to your account etc so you have proof of all important things that have happened on your account in case of a dispute further down the line.

Taking screenshots of all of this is what everybody needs to do to cover themselves in case the bookmaker questions anything as if it comes down to your word against the bookmaker with no proof forthcoming from your side, you know which side is going to win the vast majority of the time.

You simply can't trust the bookmaker to get your account details right. If you had have taken a screen shot of this missing bet, then that would have been proof enough to show that you had placed the bet and you most probably would have got paid your winnings, so it's most definitely a worthwhile thing to do, as not doing it will almost certainly cost you money when these sorts of things happen.

Is the live bet history stored in a different place? I've had trouble finding live bets before, and when I go in to the live bet system, I can check there most times. Hope that helps.

If you have an actual ticket number, should be pretty easy to troubleshoot or rule out what may have happened. Do you still have the ticket number? Please email it along with your 5Dimes account number to help@sportsbookreview.com.

Pending live bet details only show up in the platform interface under open bets. Details are added to the 'Transactions' area of your account after grading.
