What is going on here is very shady. But the agent knowingly entered into an illegal world, so if he doesn't understand that this comes with certain 'responsibilities' he should have stayed out of it. This is the type of story that ends with somebody having his brains busted in with a baseball bet. It has no place on a public forum.

This affects everyone? How can you say that, when you specifically wanted to be an agent?

The fact that you would spin it that way is absurd.

Somewhat agree, but you can say that about all of us to an extinct. That's why SBR is here to out this type of shadiness.

No, agents are in a very different business than online bettors. lol Not remotely the same.

The fact that this a-hole would publish names on a public forum, and then, to strengthen his case, suggests in the same thread that this is everybody's business, because we all deposited money, is too absurd for words.

If the government wants to roll up another 'gambling ring', he just gave them key info. That would hopefully not affect the offshore BP situation, but you never know. This wannabe agent is completely irresponsible. In my book he doesn't even deserve to be paid. Just give him his deposit back and get rid of him.

If there is no way that your brother or anyone else that you know, could of scammed you and picked up your money, then I would personally be going back over to that house with some "friends", including your brother, to get to the bottom of this. People tend to be more honest when under a little pressure.

Just curious... Did your brother know the password..? I know he wasn't involved yet but you made a password and intended on giving it to him... I know, however, the brother would have had to contact BP to arrange a pick up and would have had to know WHO to contact...

It's hard to say what's going on but if a book stiffed or scammed an agent which we knew about then it's hard to say it wouldn't effect someone playing at that book so I would say DH is somewhat wrong on that...

I know that "the meet" apparently never came into play, but personally I would never let another person (even my brother) handle a pickup in which a fairly significant transaction was going to take place. I don't care how bloody busy I was; My brother would not be going even if we were Goddamn Siamese twins...

The way I read the story is that the runner was paid. There may be questions about the reliability of the runner, and the screening process of runners and agents.

Regardlessly, it takes a particular brand of stu-pid to incriminate people, and mention their names on a public forum, if those people can just as easily incriminate you.

This has amateur written all over it. A kid that got in through his mother, a wannabe agent that is stiffed by the kid. lol Where's Quentin T. for the dialogue?

Screw you, I don't set up multiple accounts at the same Book. However, if a Book has several skins, like that crap book SB.com that you play at, then I see nothing wrong with having an account at each outlet.

Tough to have an ethics discussion with an SB.com shill. Might as well

Bet Phoenix gets a lot of publicity here! It seems like every day a thread is started on how they ripped someone off. Yet it almost always seems like BP is always in the right!

C'mon, seriously? Do you have ANY proof of this? I am by no means a Phoenix shill, and I have blasted them because of their uptime issues and massive rollover requirements for their bonuses, but this would be a fraudulent act. I need some proof here.

You don't have to believe me on this. I read a post from a guy at covers who had experienced this before. The post was 4-5 months old so I cannot find it right now.

After all 50% of all complaints (a guy mentioned about this earlier) were from betphx. Recently, there is a thread in this subforum about a guy who won alot on their live blackjack and they refused to pay him.

I have not heard about this and I cannot find it in this subforum, nor in any other part of this forum.

Betphoenix is one of the most generous books out there on these forums, having given away thousands not only in contests, but free money for just trying them out. They are also one of the very few books that have a rep on these forums to answer our questions. And more importantly, they pay super fast, even same day.

Its still no problem, just do the old Photoshop Editing and make a new thread slandering Betphoenix. There must be an online class going on "SportsbookExtortion101". Only scammers can apply.

It sounds to me like Richard needs to get involved with this issue if he already hasnt and put a little fire under that agents ass or the runners ass to find out who got the cash. This is alot of money to be messin around with so I would be willing to bet he is involved. Richard runs a classy shop and I am never worried about my money there but then again NOBODY and I mean NOBODY picks up my cash but me. Its too personal to have buddies and brothers picking up for you.

Funny how this forum has become so predictable. Before the army of 14-year old newbies had their eye on Betphoenix they couldn't wait to fall all over 5Dimes. 5Dimes was bad, 5Dimes was a scam, 5Dimes was unreliable, and so on. And now? Not a word about 5Dimes. The attention of the crashtestdummies has shifted to Betphoenix. Betphoenix is terrible. Betphoenix sucks. Betphoenix is stealing my money.

My point? SBR forum was once a credible source of information. But nowadayas, especially after the betpoints have given these kids the idea they can get their gambling career off for free, the inmates are running the asylum. The quality of information on this forum is way, way down. It started at player's talk, but is now beyond control in the other sections of the forum.

Request to SBR. The ignore function is no longer doing the trick. Please add a 'select' function so that only posts by selected posters are visible.

I wonder if there is a forum for drug dealers to complain about getting screwed by their suppliers....
Or a health insurance hotline for suicide bombers.

This thread is totally absurd. Anyone who takes on obscene, unnecessary risk has no right to complain when the expected happens.

Actually, they don't. For as long as I've been here not a single book has been as receptive to suggestions by posters as BP. It's just the latest trend here to get down on them. As I said, not too long ago it was fashionable to bash 5Dimes. The most ridiculous complaints about 5D were getting a thread. Countless parrots sang in the choir. Remember how everybody loved BP when they were giving away free money at the start of football? But now that they're tightening things up a bit, after football, look at all the little crybabies coming out of the woodworks. How many of them lost money at the book, and see this forum as a way to get even? This too will pass, and it will be followed by another mass attack of the clones against another book.

Some people know what they're talking about, but 95% here doesn't have the first clue about the offshore industry.

Yeah, almost as receptive to posters as Bet Camelot was 10 years ago...or are you too new to this game to remember? If only 20% of the complaints against Bet Phoenix are accurate, they are one of the sloppiest books ever. It doesn't take a genius to recognize that they have not a single clue how to manage a book. E.g., they consisently have the stalest futures odds -- how would you fail to notice this? Combine ths with totally erratic policy-making (at best), and you have the ingredients for a swift demise.

A swift demise? lol Man, you must really know what is going on at that family of books. A behind-the-scenes look from a true insider: "Not a single clue how to manage a book, one of sloppiest books ever, stalest futures odds, totally erratic policy-making (at best)." And all that in one paragraph. lol
