    Withdrew bitcoins but made money?

    Hi.

    I withdrew $4,560 from Bookmaker.eu today but received $4,612. (circle.com)

    can someone explain how?

    I know that bitcoin fluctuates.

so should I only withdraw money on days the bitcoin market is up? if so, what is the best website to monitor that movement.

the money entered my circle wallet in USD not coins.

please, somebody help me out here im so confused.

    thanks,

    James (first time poster)

Yes, bitcoin fluctuates wildly. Can drop or shoot up on you 15 to 25% in 10 minutes on a wild day. Doesn't matter when you withdraw because you don't know if it is going to bounce up or down from the time you request and don't know how long it is going to take the book to process and how they are going to decide at what point the price is going to be determined. In this case, it would seem Bookmaker took some time in making the withdrawal or maybe there was just a sharp upturn in price.

At Circle, you have the choice of holding your money as dollars or coins. It seems you have designated dolllars so when the money comes in, it gets converted to dollars.

You just search Bitcoin price and find some web sites that report the price on a continuous basis.

It was a pretty good deal. Works the other way though. You got lucky on this one.

I'd never do a big transfer like that myself. I'd definitely take a check for something that big.

I'd break my transfer into $1,000s to try to average out even or average out the loss I would most likely take.

thing about check is they're foreign, usually canadian, they take several weeks to clear in collections and I get hit with a bank fee here in the states.

The prices are different at each exchange. Bookmaker uses BitStamp and Coinbase uses Coinbase.

yea? which bank do you use? I use Santander, they're only here in the North East. I work at chase, but I don't keep my account there for obvious reasons.
