    Odds changing.. Frequently

I've noticed recently everytime I try to place a wager the odds change right when I pick my team. For example

    Detroit Lions 2.00
    Carolina Panthers 1.909

Right when I click the lions the odds will change to 1.961 . If I were to click on the panthers the odds would've went to 1.869. I'm not going to name the book that this is happening at but do you guys experience this as well ? (Decimal odds to make it easier to explain)

I experience it all the time on in game betting. I know there's a lot of fluctuation that happens with in game betting but it seems like it the line change only goes against me and never with me.

Unless you are the one moving the line, as in the sharp guy action they are moving off of, you shouldnt see this. Book's dont work this way and dont have the technology setup to pull the rug out on every bet depending on who the bettor is. They would give you the boot rather than piss you off this way and see this thread about them. Now, its possible you are betting the popular side right before the game. It's common for favs and totals to go up and the books typically move lines up or stay where they are. Players bet overs and favorites. Its less common they move down but do more so on super big spreads.

Now, if you really want to test what you think you are seeing, Next time you see a big move as you are trying to get the bet in, go to SBRodds.com and click the line you are betting and look at the line history. You will be able to see if the big bookmakers are moving that way or if yours is going in the opposite direction. Id be surprised if you saw Bookmaker, Betonline and Pinnacle moving one way and your book moving the other.

    steam player?

    or ...

if you really do experience the odds being cut on both sides it could be what happens to me at williamhill.com.au

Those bastards closed my account but were forced to reopen it when I reported them to RacingNSW for failing to comply with their minimum bet rule. However, the only bets I can make with them at fair odds are on NSW racing. Once logged in to my account the odds for all sporting events and all other racing are lower than before logging in.

Do you realize your Bookmaker feed is always ~15 minutes delayed? I have verified this by comparing your feed to the Bookmaker lines I see (logged in) and also the lines I see in a fresh test account I created. My account and the test account and non-SBR, non-DonBest Bookmaker feeds (e.g. SportsInsights) match perfectly, and all of them lead your feed by 10-15 minutes. This was further verified by comparing your BM timestamps to those of SI. To be clear, SBR is not getting different lines; SBR is getting the same lines as BM customers, only delayed by 10-20 minutes. I reported this about six months ago when it first started (with screenshot evidence) and received a ridiculous series of replies from an SBR rep. basically telling me I was full of sh!t.

Do you have any plans to fix this issue, or at least alert users they are seeing a massively delayed Bookmaker feed?

Update: checking tonight's games, it's apparent you're not just getting a delay; you're now getting bad data. Check out the Jan 6 Cle@Was NBA game. The Bookmaker moneyline flip-flopped 35 cents every minute for 10 minutes between 5:29 and 5:40 pm, and then stopped updating altogether.

The issue with SBROdds having an erroneous Bookmaker feed is worse than ever. Why no response from SBR?

    Hi Evo
Thanks for trying to make us better. We have recently tested, especially at the half when lines move often. We will look into this now. The examples are much appreciated.

OK, well I'm no sharp or big money player. I probably win at a higher clip than the avg bettor but I see this happen, often, too. I know damn well my 100 dollar bets aren't moving lines, lol. So OP, I know exactly what you are talking about and I wonder if most books do this to their players, regardless of perception of being a 'sharp.'

I've also noticed it moves more often on my phone than on a computer. Almost every bet I make changes via phone. I use 1Vice, if that helps.

Bill, Not sure what this means. What was tested? Just look at the Bookmaker line time stamps for any game, and compare to SportsInsights or, even better, to a live Bookmaker account. It's not hard to spot the issue.

Now both Bookmaker and Pinnacle are showing completely out-of-sync lines. What's the story?

SBR's Bookmaker lines are still massively delayed and full of erroneous "updates," if anyone cares. Also, for the last two days, Pinnacle lines have been way off.

Here's the Bookmaker feed history for Hou/Tex on 4/21 (am I really the only one who sees a problem?):

Your notion that small amounts of money won't effect a line is incorrect. A guy betting $5 can move a line and does.

Check the line after you placed your bet

If it went back to the previous value then it is only for you

(if you can see the price while logged out then check the price in logged out state, clear cookie and change ip )
(if you can see the price logged in then create a fake account with fake name/email and check the price with that account, of course before this you have to change IP/clear cookies)

(for example if your account got limited at dafabet/1xbet they have different prices while logged out or logged in )

Since SBR is asking for feedback about SBR Odds, why don't you fix the issue I reported and substantiated over a year ago (horribly delayed and erroneous Bookmaker data)?

Thanks evo. It a matter of what Bookmaker reports in their file not our platform. That said we hope to have a faster bookmaker feed in near future. For now it seems you'll have to keep a screen open for BM if you need real time.

As I have said previously, other sites are getting a flawless feed from Bookmaker. Simply have SportsInsights open next to SBROdds and watch the BM lines move on SI -- and then 10-15 min. later on SBROdds. It's not hard to notice.

Is SI paying Bookmaker more than you are, or is there some other reason they are getting an accurate feed and you are getting a terrible feed. If it's a money thing I get it, but if BM is claiming they are giving you a good feed...well, they're not.
