    FYI,

    Sportsbook book-to-book transfer changes
BetPhoenix (SBR rating B+) and Youwager (SBR rating B) have agreed to begin book-to-book player transfers. BetPhoenix tells SBR they will soon begin transfers with other major sportsbooks but are no longer transferring to or from Matchbook (SBR rating B-).

I hope by "major sportsbooks" they mean A-rated books like Greek/Bookmaker... not books like YouWager.

So the changes in their commission structure is considered a risky-adventure by SBR?

    YouWager.........LMFAO.

To me, it appears BP is attempting to lower their risks every which way possible because they have been having their asses handed them.

    Lower limits
    No transfers with MB
    4,000 limits weekly on payouts
    Richard seldom seen

Granted, one has to like this approach, as they are at least attempting to stop the bleeding..........but it sends up a HUGE RED FLAG.

I'd call them B+, great experiences with them, but I don't play there anymore....kind of burned them with a large Cascade transfer right before Lenny went erect.

All this noise is bad for Matchbook. Just reduced my matchbook holding by another $3000 today.

I received $5000 (2 X 2500) today to moneybookers within 2 hours. Very comfortable with that.

The only thing I am worry about Matchbook, is the run on the bank problem. Everyone even sound companies have a hard time adjusting to massive negative cashflow outside of normal operation. Another thing is a large part of the money matchbook make I am sure is interest income, from short-term bonds. Basically all the money we put in are interest free money, Matchbook can use to earn interest off of. We take all that out they stop making money.

blix, I doubt if Matchbook or any book's business model is based on earning interest from client's money - in any case banks are offering 0% interest rates these days so I doubt if that is the make or break of matchbook.

What kind of question is that? For someone who plays there 16 hours a day, I would think you'd understand how an exchange works.

What I'm saying is 90% of posters are talking about their wonderful payouts and few, veterans or newbies, are talking about how to get money deposited there.

SBR downgraded them to B-, and Justin went a -huge- step further by grading them C-. I don't think I've ever seen Justin give such a clear warning.

Sure, MB can pay fast. Why be surprised at that? Plenty of players fund to go around. That is not the question. The question is: can they survive a run on the bank?

The same question could also explain the difference between B- and C-. If SBR went to C- that would greatly increase the possibility of a run on the bank. And who would be hurt by that? Players...

Slip out under the radar while you still can, and wish them the best. That way, you can afford to be wrong. If they right the ship, great. If not, nothing lost.

Probably the two most effective methods, yes.

But as stated, SBR posters seem to be making nice profits that play there and seldom have to make deposits.

WTF are you talking about? This thread and others are about MB's liquidity and viability, not the profits and losses of individual posters. I was only trying to relate my experiences with Matchbook, which continue to be positive.

    Ditto

My experiences with MB have been as good as any sportsbook in my tenure offshore.

Let's hope they remain that way!!

who is your opinion intended for?

i'm just questioning the basis of your opinion since it seems to be based on second hand knowledge.

and questioning why you would continue to make disparaging comments and alarming speculations based on that second hand knowledge.

    but maybe i missed something?

Books like Betphoenix want to stop interbook transfers with Matchbook simply because 95% of requests are monies leaving Betphoenix to go to Matchbook.
