IbetUp down, appears to be stiffing at least one player. BetConstruct white label?

Hopefully there arent many more players with this bookmaker. Anyone with detailed knowledge on this group?

A player won 3,000 Euros. Following a month of waiting for the bookmaker to acknowledge his personal verification documents he was told he would not be paid his winnings and his deposit would be refunded. The sportsbook cites not being licensed in the player's jurisdiction and implies the player is legally liable if he receives his winnings. The IbetUp user received email message.

IbetUp:Dear Customer, This email is being sent to notify your situation. After reviewing your address, the iBetUp legal department has been advised not to accept further activities with customers from specific countries, which iBetUpīs gaming license does not cover. As a valued customer, in order for you to avoid possible legal implications, iBetUp is fully committed to ensure that no losses are incurred by customers located on those specific listed countries. Therefore we are refunding your initial deposit, through the same method you have initially deposited. In order to comply with EU regulations, we can only refund the amount once our compliance department approves your KYC. Therefore, please send a copy of your passport and proof of address. If you already sent the documentation, please ignore this step. Thank you and please cooperate in order to solve any outstanding issues. Best Regards, iBetUp team

So much BS - they had no problem acepting his deposit, but now that he won they are concerned for his possible legal problems. Ofc, if he would have lost, everything would have been very legal

Right hoja. You summed up the scam. Deposits are going back out to losers. But even if they were, thats still a scam. Have a bad week? hit the undo button!

We have talked to a lot of books about licensing and in every case when changes are made the player gets everything possible he could get. Licensing is a privilege. No one is getting arrested for paying out or accepting winnings. Keeping winning bets is a good way to never get a license. The UK government for example reads these threads. They know whos shady and books know they dont want to be the subject of these conversations.
