Has anyone had a placed wager disappear at BetPhoenix?

I placed 4 NCAAB wagers last night. All four were winners. Today I checked and I only see 3 of them.

Has anyone had an accepted wager disappear at BetPhoenix?

I want to look at the line histories for these games. How can I look at the line history for yesterday's NCAAB games?

In my case I did use the old software. It could have been a dgs error or something since they do the horses. I made over 15 bets, all losers and deducted from my account but never came through on the weekly history. This happened last friday only.

My problem is that I don't see the money in my account either.

I am going to have to assume that this was my error, and not BetPhoenix's, due to these two facts:

    1. for my other 3 wagers, the line moved within 1-2 minutes of me placing the bet, but there was no corresponding line move for the 4th wager. This leads me to believe that it was never accepted

    2. no one else here has had the problem

I know how hard it is to place a simple straight wager on BP. You have to click like 6 buttons and occasionally deal with some software issues, like the time I clicked submit over 10 times with no effect before having to log out and start all over again. For this reason I am very careful about checking that the bet has actually been submitted and accepted. I look for the "your wager has been submitted" message, check my balances (i.e. the money being moved to pending) and look at the bets in "pending wagers". I have to assume that I screwed up somehow last night and did not do the checks on that final bet, although I know I at least saw the "your wager has been submitted" message. I can't remember if I checked in pending wagers though, and maybe that message can be persistent from the previous wager.

I do know they have horrible software and that I can't even see the 3 bets which I did win, unless I log in with the "old version" as Durango suggested. You better believe I will be extra, extra careful placing wagers there in the future, but I have to assume that this was my mistake and not theirs. It just doesn't make any sense that they would do something like that over a single $700 bet, and that no one else would have the same problem last night. They did mention to me having problems with their system last night, and their SW is definitely shitty, which worries me.

According to my brain #1 does not make sense...but my brain has been known to fail on many an occasion. Are you saying you move lines? How did you check this? If, anything I would have guessed that the line moved after you hit submit and it did not get accepted...Sometimes hard to see on BP's new version.

#2 For what it is worth, I feel like I have had this happen to me a few times at BP. All pretty small bets, but all winners...But w/o confo #'s, it was impossible to prove so I let it go.

You just have to be real careful when placing wagers there.

Do you have any software to take screen shots? I remember reading about posters that use some kind of screen dumping software so they can grab screen shots and they get stored automatically. I don't place enough bets to need that, so I just hit Alt + Prnt Scrn, and then save it in MS OneNote in a folder for that bookie.

Anyway, if BP's software is unreliable at the moment, you might want to look into screen shotting your plays.

    are Betp and legends related?
never played at BetP but this is almost exactly what happened to me a couple weeks ago.
I remember seeing the "bet submitted" message and seeing the money w/d from my acct to pending.
I than opened another window and went about surfing the Inet. I assumed the bet was not accepted and I never checked back until the game was over.

I contacted Legends to see if they might have some kind of history about what I did on the site. It showed me logging in but not betting. So I just wrote it off as my mistake of not making sure the wager was accepted instead of just submitted.
I have noticed that wagers sometimes take a while to be accepted and a few times declined b/c of a line move. I thought they might somehow be shading lines agaisnt me after I submitted but I dont bet enough to matter to them IMO. Although I have been hitting at a high % at legends.

    .
Yeah, I am saying I moved the line. I am talking about very slight movements in the juice. It's not because I was betting big or because they respect me. It was because each of these 4 games I (tried to) bet were games where BP had the best available line. Matchbook has terrible liquidity for NCAAB, so I rather just take the best line I see rather than hope to get an offer filled there.

For example, these were my bets:

Bet on Wisc GB +5 -103 at 4:51. At 4:52 the line nudged to -105.

Bet AZ St PK Em +100 at 4:55, moved to -102 at 4:58

    Bet Portland U +1 -105 at 5:15, moved to -107 at 5:17

Notice a pattern? It's a slight move on the juice because in all of those cases they were already offering a better line than Pinny (or anyone else).

My phantom bet was College Charleston +3 -105 and I don't see a line move until 7:03 PM, which would have been over 90 minutes since I "placed" the bet. This is why it seems like the bet was indeed never "accepted".

For now on I am triple checking every bet I place there, as well as using screen shots.

As for where I got the info, I got it from SBR's Odds page. Click the link in my OP. I didn't put the link there. I am guessing my post was edited by SBR to add the link.

i have not had this happen to me . have placed thousands of bets there. check off my winners at the end of the day, so i know that they have been graded correctly. i get about one incorrect grading every 2 - 3 months. (sometimes in my favor). i only use the old system they have.

Check to see which date the wager was graded. Sometimes the wager is graded after midnight, in which case it will appear on the next day's results in the bet history.

    That might do it.

It may be you never hit the submit button, or the line moved and your didn't hit the button again. One think I always do is check after I make a bet to make sure it was made. Every now and then I'll check and see I never hit the submit button on a line move, or was busy doing 2 or 3 things and quite simply f..ed up somehow.

I don't know if the book did it or not, but sometimes I have to admit I may have made the mistake, as much as I hate to do it.

I checked for the whole week. Also, I keep a spreadsheet with all of my sportsbook balances, and that $700 I should have won was missing from my BP account.

When I logged into my account the next day, I saw that an expected $700 was missing. I thought "they cancelled my wager?" and expected to find out some bullshit like the game was no actioned or something. I couldn't find any history of the wager having been accepted though, and when I contacted BP they told me no such wager was ever accepted! The woman actually said "we did have problems with our system last night" After looking for the wager, they assured me it was not possible that it could have disappeared from their system though.

This is what I came to believe, as it was just so hard for me to understand how a bet could be accepted and then subsequently disappear from the system. I know that if some guy came on SBR posting that his winning bet disappeared, I would think that he *thought* that he had placed the bet, but had screwed up somehow. It all seems so ridiculous that I came to believe this in my own case.

But with what happened to dmtrader (see his "More Betphoenix skullduggery" thread), where they admitted that his pending wager disappeared, seemingly without a trace, only to later be found in the system after some intense digging, I now realize that I definitely placed this bet. Like I mentioned before, I do a triple check on every bet I place with BP.

    1. look for the "your wager has been submitted" message

    2. look that the pending balance has increased and the available balance has decreased by the right amount

    3. click on pending wagers

I am a pretty anal person. I make thousands of bets a year, at multiple sportsbooks, and this is the only time in 10 years of gambling that I was *sure* I had placed a wager and not seen any history of it the next day. It all seems so ludicrous that it made me think I must have screwed up somehow. Now, through dmtrader's experience, we know that bets do disappear from BP's system.

I will be looking into this further with Betphoenix.
