Concept of VIP Pass for Matchbook...

So what I am thinking is Matchbook to offer a VIP pass that allows: Reduce commission of .2% to the holder of the VIP Pass and charge a fix amount for the sale of it (I.E. $100 for 1 month access of VIP pass.)

The .2% commission basically pays for the commission of the market maker.

I have a feeling this will increase the market liquidity by a vast amount.

I like the concept, but there still has to be some rake advantage for MB over and above the monthly fee. Otherwise, they would reap only marginal benefit from the increased liquidity. Plus, I'd imagine it would be an administrative nightmare keeping track of which players were entitled to the VIP rake and which weren't.

I wish they would do something to improve the live in game betting I was trying to make a small $20 bet on the Suns/Hawks game and couldn't get any takers. And I was comparing the price to the WSEX live betting so I know that it was a fair price. Probably not going to bet ingame anymore, which I really liked last year.

Yeah, this company could be sitting on a gold mine if they figured out how to market themselves. They have the best commission rate of any exchange, if they could keep their Live markets fluid I wouldn't ever need to play anywhere else. So much opportunity....

They should invest on educating how to use their platform, and give some type of bonus or loss leader to get people in using the exchange. Also another disadvantage for the love of money find an easier way for rec players to deposit. ******* isn't the answer and many don't have multiple accounts to transfer.

Hmm... I was playing in the same market (sun vs atlanta), I was able to buy a bunch of lines during the break. Some of the lines were better than fair market price. I.E pinny had Suns -200 hawks +175 or something like that. I was able to snatch up the Hawks for +250.

Its still new. Some of these old squares still having a hard time understanding +101 is better than -110. Don't laugh. If they knew it was better, they would be playing at MB.

The Greek has Arizona +260 at Saints -320

Matchbook has Arizona +282 at Saints -284

Why would you bet NFL moneylines anywhere else?

No doubt matchbook is by far the best book for pregame odds I agree.

I use Matchbook, Pinnacle and 5dimes. I find myself locking in on Matchbooks prices more often than not when shopping between the three . I use Instadebit and it works like a charm, easy deposit and easy payout.

Matchbook transfers with many of the A+ sportsbooks. Easy to deposit with them if you actually are interested in making money.

Could you explain what books will process a deposit, cover the fees, and then not charge for a xfer to Matchbook?

Furthermore, Matchbook is one of the most useless outs for "making money".

It's an interesting idea. Maybe one of the new exchanges would consider it. Bet Phoenix is rumored to be considering an exchange. How about if they gave a month of commission-free in-game trading for each thousand dollars of deposit, or, charged the fixed fee? I guess it would all depend on liquidity, but it is a carrot that somebody will figure out how to use.

If you can't make money betting at Matchbook, then you can't make money period betting sports.

I agree with the idea of a flat monthly fee trading option though Matchbook would have to charge a whole lot more than $100/month for it.

I would gladly pay $1,000/month and probably more.

It's so frustrating to see Matchbook blow their opportunity. If Matchbook would just make a push to fix their issues they could be the industry leader in a year. And once an exchange reaches critical mass it ensures its survival for a long time. It's pretty basic stuff too.

    1) Improved web interface. The complaints have been mentioned for well over a year. Fast load times, allow custom views of multiple markets, views of all available offers, etc.

    2) Improved Deposit/Withdrawal options

    3) Actually spend some money on marketing/advertising
