Long time lurker, first time poster here.

I am UK player and have held an account at Intertops for quite a while, as I liked to bet on golf and tennis set betting and their limits were attractive. I had mixed success, but my stakes were limited when I withdrew money. No big deal, it happens at just about every book in the end.

I got paid the bulk of my balance and left a smallish amount in to play with. Tried to log in the other day and wasn't allowed, as they've changed their rules on allowed territories. I emailed to ask them to send the rest of my money and their replies are as follows:

Anyone know what's going on here? Fair enough if they don't want UK players, but surely they should be willing to pay balances back?

I'm from Finland and they have been verifying my documents for almost 4 days by now! Most bookmakers does it in 15 minutes. How long did it take for you?

That being said why did you play there when you aren't in the U.S. and restricted on what books will accept your business. I'd think there are plenty of options that would suit your needs besides Intertops.

I'd think there are plenty of options that would suit your needs besides Intertops.

I'm not worried about them disappearing, but I want to be paid. Not an unreasonable request.

I've already said that they have good limits and competitive odds on set betting (especially where there's a heavy favourite and you want to bet the 3-1 and 3-2 lines) and that the golf limits are good. At most of the UK books, there's a win limit of, say, £5,000 and I like to bet morethan £50 on a 100/1 shot sometimes.

One month after I want to log in and impossible. I mailed the support to ask and they answered:

After carefully reviewing your credentials a managerial decision has been made and your Intertops account has been closed. This decision is non-negotiable and any further correspondence will be ignored. We reserve the right to cancel/close any account as stated in our Terms and Conditions and to revoke any decisions made prior without notification or clarification.

I made maybe only 3 bets on it and they close without reasons and without inform the client, I have to ask why I can't log in anymore to know that my account is closed.

I still had more than 200e on it, they didn't pay out, I made a complaint on sbr.

I wish Intertops had faster payouts. You have to wait 48 hours before they process it. If you decide to cancel the payout it takes 48 hours as well ^^

I appreciate you posting on the thread. Maybe you could explain to everyone why UK accounts are being arbitrarily closed and why vague answers about whether people will receive their funds at all are being given? It should be taken as read that, if you are closing accounts and want no further business from them, you return the funds to source. Why I have to go through all of this just to get my money back is beyond me.

we have not yet received the complaint from SBR until now, but once we do, we will do our best to resolve this issue immediately.
The decision to no longer accept players from the UK was made by the management. I understand that this decision might upset people from the UK, but unfortunately this decision stands and will not be revoked for now.

The procedure for withdrawing funds of these closed UK accounts is very clear and should be made clear by our customer service staff when being contacted by one of the affected customers.
Every UK customer can withdraw the remaining funds from their account at any time. Should there be any pending bets in the account, any winning bet can be withdrawn once the bet has been processed.

I truly apologize if you haven't received satisfying answers to your questions when in contact with our customer service.

I hope this cleared things up a bit and that your issue will be resolved asap.

When I contacted the relevant department, I was told that your query was already being worked on, so the resolving of your query did have nothing to do with you posting here, it simply went through the standardized procedures that need to be followed in cases like yours.

Nope. The upsetting part is the closure of accounts without proper procedures in place to ensure that your customers are paid.

Okay. It certainly wasn't made clear. And it's difficult to withdraw your funds when you can't log in to your account and CS pretty much tells you to whistle for your money. Why not go through the UK accounts and proactively contact people to tell them to withdraw their money? A proper book would do just this.

Thanks for sharing. We've asked a manager with Intertops about this complaint and the process of users who are no longer welcomed due to country restrictions being able to withdraw/notified.

Please let us know if you have any issues taking out the balance from here, sounds like you simply got a bad answer originally.

since we're on topic of intertops whats the deal with their bonus program? what a year ago would get you 3000 points now the same bet now gets you in 200 range. its almost pointless to run the program if these so called changes they made are for everyone? i emailed and received several form emails and no answers if the changes were just for me or for everyone.

not that its that big a deal but they never announced or posted they were changing the structure for me, only reason i realized i was stuck in same spots after a couple months of decent wagering. the pace my account is on in their new structure its insulting to even offer it.

I haven't played at Intertops for years now because during my last withdrawal, my bank (BkofAma) refused to cash their check. Intertops refused to do anything about it and offered no solutions so I left to my happy valley with Youwager/Betpop where I always get paid within 4-5 days with no bullshit!

Just to update the thread, I have now been paid. I wasn't contacted to discuss withdrawal methods and was sent the money through the same method that I previously used, although this was fine by me and I was happy to just get the money.
