Bovada players, why do you tolerate deposit fees?

Was going to open a Bovada account, as they usually have attractive lines on dogs. Until I read about their deposit fees using plastic & non reimbursed fees for other methods. This is absurd, what other book charges fees for deposits? So I called Bovada to confirm deposit fees I read about is not a mistake & they confirmed it, with the lone exception that first plastic deposit is free. How does Bovada sustain their huge customer base by charging deposit fees?

Would like to hear from current Bovada players. Why you tolerate losing $ on their deposit fees, when other books don't charge? What am I missing here?

Just started with Bovada. You can do P2P although they are too cheap to cover those. It is worth having an account there though because they will send you some terrific bonuses that are even worth the charge.

They're too cheap to cover any deposit method. Other books offer bonuses with no deposit fees, so I'm trying to understand why people play here.

I've wondered the same thing. Maybe because people do not know any better. But based on what I've seen, I think they are pretty good at retaining customers with offers once you have an account. Maybe that is why.

They post late and give whacked juice. That is their strategy.

In addition to unheard of deposit fees, Bovada doesn't even accept players from New Jersey & a bunch of other states. Pathetic book.

Lots of people that play there seem to stick for a long time and be happy.

I guess the great dog lines and bonuses outweigh fees ongoing.

With less than 55 hours until College Football kicks off for the 2015 Season, Bovada has still not posted lines that competitors such as 5Dimes have had posted since July 17th.

    Players had this to say:

"Wtf." - Bill from Des Moines

"They should post them." - Sally from Moscow, ID

"I am going to jail on Wednesday evening and would love to get my plays in before then." - Billy from Huntsville Alabama

MoMoneyMoPrawns has not reached out to Bovada and they have not commented on the matter.

    Suspicious?

    We are not sure.

They don't post until at least Wednesday or maybe Thursday. That's the game you play with them. They will give you a point sometimes on some lines though. Not that many people there to bet exclusively sports. People like their poker and casino.

You appear to be pretty active on the poker front. Are they not a frontrunner in that regard?

They are, but I don't pay deposit fees when other books don't charge. Bovada doesn't even accept players from my location anyway.

Really, your question should have "why is Bovada's NFL lines almost always 1/2 point higher than everywhere else??????

Well if you like the dog that's a good thing, I wanted to sign up for their good dog lines. But my location & their deposit fees make it impossible to play at Bovada.

Youwager and Betpop give you back any fees incurred to make a deposit. I use ** to send money and it only costs $8 but Youwager gives it back to me. I would run from any Sportsbook that charges these types of bullshit fees- you're just being ripped off.

Of course you get reimbursed....Nobody pays deposit fees, only Bovada players. That's the point of thread, why do Bovada players tolerate being ripped off?

I've mainly played poker at Bodog and now Bovada for yrs. but I'm out now, only good thing about them was the low deposit amounts and the easy poker players, but the software will screw you eventually it seems.
