    Betonline Bait & Switch

Received an email from Betonline on 1st May, saying the following:

To celebrate what will be the biggest betting weekend until next football season, we are hooking you up with an exclusive 45% bonus. Simply use promo code SUPERSAT45 when you deposit as little as $50 and you will automatically score up to $1,000 worth of comps for the BetOnline.ag sportsbook.

I deposited for this, my only previous plays with this book being quite a while ago. Assumed that they were wanting to get some inactive customers back, so this seemed like a good time to dive back in.

My deposit on 1st May was in the region of $2,225, just enough to get the $1k free play, which I was awarded on deposit. I went to place the freeplay, but it had been removed from my account and management had emailed me to ban me from all future bonuses.

I'm pretty much level on the bets I've placed so far, but they have the nerve to renege on the bonus offer, seize the bonus money from my account, and tell me I can't have any more bonuses. They were the ones that emailed me enticing me into a deposit I wouldn't have made but for the email.

I've emailed asking for an explanation and don't get the courtesy of a reply. I asked on live chat and was just referred to a term saying that they can essentially do whatever they want. It might be in the terms, but it doesn't make it right.

Any opinions on whether it's worth taking this further? I'm not going to get overly worked up about it, but generally hate this bait and switch nonsense that we seem to get even with the higher rated books.

    Thanks
    CF

Betonline ranks at the bottom when it comes to CS and getting back to their clients in a timely fashion ( I have been there). I'm sure they have valid reason for not allowing the bonus to be given to you, however, after they had already given it to ..taken it away is not a cool thing to do.
