    TonyBet - information requested

    Hi All,

I have searched SBR for threads relating to Tonybet. There are a few Tonybet threads here at SBR but most seem dormant now. The last reply to any of these threads was October 2014.

Hence I am starting a new Tonybet thread in April 2015.

A summary of information gleaned from the various Tonybet threads is presented below:

    [1] Tonybet limit quickly

[2] Tonybet appear to ask for ID requirements immediately after registration (as opposed to asking for ID upon an attempted withdrawal)

[3] Tonybet have poor customer service - they do not respond to emails and they do not answer the telephone

[4] Will Tonybet pay your withdrawal with no problems? - THIS IS NOT CLEAR

[5] Will Tonybet ask for more ID when you try to withdraw, even though you already provided ID as per [2] above? - THIS IS NOT CLEAR

The fact that Tonybet limit quickly is ok - if one is limited there, just withdraw your funds with no issues.

The fact that Tonybet appear to ask for ID up front is very good - at least you have a fully verified account and should have no issues when you are ready to withdraw

The fact that Tonybet have poor customer service (do not respond to emails/answer the phone) is worrying. If you have some kind of problem with your withdrawal or, for example, a wagering issue then how can it be resolved if Tonybet do not communicate?

So - the big questions to be answered in this thread are:

QUESTION 1 - - Is it really true that Tonybet do not respond to emails or answer the phone?

QUESTION 2 - - Does Tonybet actually pay withdrawals? Is your money safe at Tonybet?

QUESTION 3 - - Will Tonybet ask for more ID when it comes time to withdraw? This third question is important as if more ID is required, this could be used as an excuse to not pay a withdrawal. It also makes the "up front" ID provided redundant - if Tonybet ask for more ID then they could be at liberty to just say "this ID is no good" and then (presumably) your money is lost. I have included this third question because looking through the old Tonybet threads here, one customer appears to claim that he sent ID to Tonybet up front (and Tonybet processed the ID and said it was ok) and then later when he tried to withdraw, Tonybet asked him for even more ID. It is unclear if this customer was paid by Tonybet

Dear all, answers to QUESTION 1, QUESTION 2 or QUESTION 3 would be gratefully received. All replies and information is received with thanks.

I am self-excluded from them but when I asked them about revoking the self-exclusion on the 7th of January they replied to me within 3 hours as follows:

    Thank you for your e-mail.
Kindly informing that your account has been closed by your request because you said you had serious gambling problems. Our company is also pursuing players with gambling-related problems prevention. We would like to assure that you are "stable" in aspect of gambling. Please be so kind to send us an explanation about current addiction to gambling. Only after that we will make a decision to re-open your TonyBet account or no.

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you will have any questions.

They seem to care about their customers before taking money or so ... I would suggest if you contact them you email them to the following email address - TonyBet Support <info@tonybet.lt>

They don't update their email on their website and they got quite a bunch of mistakes on their page.

    Hi Dontknowhowtobet.

Thanks for your reply and thanks for this valuable information. I agree that it appears from the above that Tonybet care about their customers and that this would suggest that Tonybet do, in fact, respond to emails. It also makes it more likely that Tonybet would pay a withdrawal, because clearly if they were simply in the business of acquiring customer funds (with no intention of processing withdrawals) then they would have taken your action with no further questions.

Thanks again - your reply is received with thanks.

I used them for a bit when I was still living in Europe with no issues, smaller shop but seemingly semi-intelligently run.

Looks like I used them up until Dec 2012 or Jan 2013 just before moving back if my spreadsheet and hazy memory are semi-accurate, so they're by no means newbies or recent

Did their £100 sign up. x6 wr d+b iirc. Ended up with £450 ish. Asked for ID when i withdrew. Took them a week to process. Then withdrawal was back to skrill within 48hrs

Do their free £10 bonus each week without problems. Wouldnt keep a balance over £250 in there. Thats my policy with most books though. Nothing against Tonybet

They have been responsive in dealing with the two complaints I have seen about them. And resolved both to the players satisfaction.

You will find a few newswire articles about them here too: http://www.sportsbookreview.com/search/?q=tonybet

    Greetings,

I had an account with them few years ago, i can answer some questions from that time, but i'm unsure about any current changes in their policy. So here we go:

Quote Originally Posted by Ewan101 View Post

Yes, if you're a winning player, or use some arbing, limits will come very fast.

[2] Tonybet appear to ask for ID requirements immediately after registration (as opposed to asking for ID upon an attempted withdrawal)
It's at their FAQ section: "Before your account is created you must upload a legitimate and official personal identification document featuring your photo, such as a passport, driver's license or other suitable document"

    More: https://tonybet.com/faq

[3] Tonybet have poor customer service - they do not respond to emails and they do not answer the telephone
Well, few years back they had some average customer service. Now can't comment on this much. But there is a threat at Lithuanian sport forum, no one are complaining about customer service. Maybe for clients from abroad Tonybet has lower priority. But it's just my guess, i might be wrong on this.

[4] Will Tonybet pay your withdrawal with no problems? - THIS IS NOT CLEAR
As my account was fully verified with them, so never had problems with withdrawals.
Multiple accounts, bets from same IP or anything else suspicious would lead to more risk and possible confiscation of funds (same policy in every bookmaker).

[5] Will Tonybet ask for more ID when you try to withdraw, even though you already provided ID as per [2] above? - THIS IS NOT CLEAR
If they approve first ID upload, they should not ask for ID again. They might ask for proof of address- bank statement or bill..

The fact that Tonybet have poor customer service (do not respond to emails/answer the phone) is worrying. If you have some kind of problem with your withdrawal or, for example, a wagering issue then how can it be resolved if Tonybet do not communicate?
I don't believe that they don't communicate at all. Their customer service might have some busy days and don't answer instantly, so you have to be patient with this small bookmaker.
There few ways to contact them and some available guy can give a reply:

They settled a bet I lost as a winner, so I informed them about their mistake.
Wasn't that much money, maybe something like 40 euro.
Customer support reacted in a timely manner.
'Thank you', they wrote and that was it.

QUESTION 1 - - Is it really true that Tonybet do not respond to emails or answer the phone?

True. They've gone completely silent on me for one week after I asked for a withdrawal for around 1k.
Up to that point everything was fine, replying within 24 hours etc.

Still waiting for a reply, just been on a chat with somebody who just said the standard "you'll be contacted etc."

I had big wins there to my standards where in most other books I would've been limited, I did not get limited personally over at tony bet.
When I felt it was time to withdraw (2k,3k)all my winnings before I lose it again they did not made any trouble over it, was paid quick trough neteller.
my id was verified quick after registration.

Loved the variety of live markets over there.
