Does anyone know about any relationship between Pinnacle and the btc book Nitrogen? Seems like their lines are always identical except for a Nitrogen being a couple of cents more expensive on each side. A

Could certainly be a possibility - although they would have to separate their UK custom base from the main site, which would definitely mean weaker lines for the UK.

Unless they aim to rival betfair and add a betting exchange for regions with higher tax rates. Surely this would cover the tax margins required for the UK. If Matchbook can manage the UK customer base with 1.15% commission, I'm sure pinnacle can easily manage something like this and still be highly competitive

Bibls great post as there has to be a way

Matchbook can do it and Pinny has more volume than them even with UK customers

if you don't know how to get an account with Pinnacle if you live in the US or UK or Tokyo or Singapore or Bombay or any where else they block direct access to an account
    YOU DO NOT DESERVE ONE

Minet accounts tough to come by

There are plenty of ways to open a pinnacle account - the obvious being via a broker.

I know there are plenty of brokers around, but considering that even previously highly rated bookmakers have folded in recent times - why should I trust a broker??

Surely its in the interest of the public to name the individual(s) / parties involved in acquiring pinnacle. No matter what statement they have released on their website, customers should have a right to know who they are now dealing with.

I'm sure it's all above board and legitimate, but surely no need for the secrecy. Maybe the info will appear via a whois search or registered company info in a few months

It's funny to think that everyone believes they left the US. Certainly they did with Post Up, but their credit business is still strong. I treat my Grande & Pinny Agent like phucking gold!

    From http://www.pinnaclesports.com/en/about

The Pinnacle Sports brand is a product of Imperial Holdings Ltd, 8A Pitmans Alley, Main Street, Gibraltar.

Gibraltar sounds better than Curacao, even if it's only a PO box...

Having a Malta license doesn't prevent them from applying for a UK license in the future. Many books hold dual European licenses. Matchbook for example.

They would take on a UK licence purely for UK customers. They can then continue to operate elsewhere under laxer conditions.

''eGR suggested Hedman’s dual acquisitions would have cost him around £200m, which would put the cost of his Pinnacle stake at around £160m''.

If ''controlling interest'' is at least 51%, that valuing pinnacle at around ~480 million USD.

What do you think high or low?
