    Weak-minded people with no self control destroy their own lives. Personal responsibility, isn't that what the wingnuts preach?

    Don't drink the koolaid JJ.

    80% of Australians gamble each year. The perfect place to gauge how many people really have problems with it.

    Here's a couple of figures from an anti-gambling site for you;

    0.7% of people ruin their lives with gambling.

    Another 1% or so have problems with it.

    http://www.responsiblegambling.org.a...ng-oct2010.pdf

    I don't give a penetrate that such a tiny group has a problem personally. And penetrate everyone that claims that 'gambling ruins lives'.

    It makes mine and 98% of other people's lives better.

    As much as I despise Obama marijuana legalization would have never taken hold if Romney (i.e. someone who puts extreme moral prohibitionism above states rights) had control of the DOJ...

    Without major overhaul of federal law (good luck with that) or some sort of court victory the reality is it won't happen without strong public sentiment causing the right person in White House to look the other way.

    A US population allowed to gamble on sports would be a DREAM for even pseudo-sharps.

    No
    Because you can go down the isles of every state legislature and find reps who openly admit they smoked pot
    not many would ever admit to betting with a bookie

    Good reporting Natalie! I personally think McCain is a war mongering fuk head who should retire already! So hey Natalie, if sports betting ends up being the new ganja, you up for burning a nice rolled blunt with me sometime?Just think about how cool and laid back your next reporting segment would be, if you had a nice buzz go'in.

    Not likely. Goldman Sachs would hook up their high frequency trading computers to the betting line and it would be sharper than ever.

    Gambling is already widespread in the United States. There are not terribly many people in this country who do not live within an hour of a casino.

    Adding sports betting to the list of things we can legally gamble on will have virtually no societal impact at all.

    Surprised?? It's all bullshit and politics by our talking heads and CLOWNS running our Govt. As for marijuana the medical establishment and scientific research proves that it has healing effects and reduces pain in many patients afflicted with diseases. Trying to become a distributor of a medicinal company. It's the future and all states will do it. Buy the medical marijuana stocks. Just my opinion!!
