Be very careful with WagerChief Free Play !!

I used part of my Free Play balance at Wagerchief on a game that was +365 and it won.

They re-adjusted my payout to +200 odds, AFTER the bet won. I had made some other Free Play wagers also at odds of +300 or greater, and they were all losers, so I hadn't encountered this problem until now.

I've always played with FP under the assumption that if the system takes the bet, you are going to get paid.

I suppose it could be buried in their terms that this is the case for FP bets over +200 odds, but... "If you book the bet, pay the bet" should apply.

Just a heads up for anyone else playing at Wagerchief.

Same at BetPhoenix. You should know the requirements for fp's before you play them. Same for moneylines > -200. You should be able to get your lost fp's refunded for moneylines in that range. Betphoenix family of books is pretty reasonable.

I think they are willing to work with people on this matter. I know they cannot catch them all. I would be careful in playing any free play that is on money line dogs with them and parlays higher than 3.

It is like that for all the phoenix bookies. The rule for this is pretty clear and very visible with BetMania and Sports-1, but maybe not with phoenix and wc... haven't really checked.

Opposite to your "if the system takes the bet, you are going to get paid" they probably think "the customer wants to place a bet on something using his freeplay balance despite not getting the full odds. However after reading the rules the customer is aware of his".

I am sure it would be possible for them to put up a notice for when you try to place a bet using freeplay at odds of +201 and above.

Nice rule! If you bet and lose - no problem,if you bet and win they adjust the odds.
How hard is to set up their software to reject all free play bets on money lines over 3.00?

I don't think books who offer free betting is dangerous. You might suffer at the end and they might steal your money and winnings.

They all do , but SBR posters do not ever read rules.

They just scream and complain all the time.

It truly amazes me this goes on every day

sorry to say i did not read rules and played a 4 team teaser and a 4 team parlay with the genorous freeplay i was given. i now remember that i was told when given the freepaly, ther rules, and just forgot. the system took the bet, but i should have known the rules. that's the bottom line.just have to know what you are doing.while i have not asked for a withdrawl yet(will soon) everything else at wagerchief seems great. anyone withdraw to the US lately. would like to know how that went.

Luckily they gave you the win at the max acceptable odds. They could have voided your bet because you failed to read the T & C's. I give WagerChief a lot of credit here.

Everytime I read "Wagerchief" a little voice in my head says "wager thief". I'm sure it's most unfair, but that little voice stops me from posting up.

Yeah, all the BetPhoenix books have always made this rule very clear..........you're probably fortunate to have it adjusted to +200, I can think of a few books that would have deleted the wager entirely.

Wagerchief refunded my previous losing FP wagers on bets that were over +200.

I have to give them credit for doing the right thing here.

wagerchief(jon) tossed in a $75 free play in my account. even after i emailed to tell him i had used the free play in a 4 team teaser and been paid for a 4 team teaaser( i would not be that honest with any other place). other sportsbooks could learn a lesson in customer sevice from this new book. every problem i have read of or the couple small problems i had were handled on the side of the player, every time. i continue to be amazed at the way this place is run. and i am up over $7000 in the couple of months i have played there. the free 1/2 point alone has made my bankroll better, 3 times already. up that much and still getting free play that i don't deserve. matchbook lines with the wagerchief people running the place - my new dream.

Does anyone know how they interpret their FP rules?

    Phoenix at least state:

Freeplays can be used ONLY in the following wager types.

Straight wagers ( moneylines up to +/-200), Betphoenix reserves the right to adjust all wagering payouts according to these parameters.

    3 team parlays max.

    2 team teasers max.
So presumably, a +400 ML as part of a 3-team parlay is allowed, but a +400 ML straight freeplay isn't?

    Hi Santo,

We do not allow +400 on any wager types with our freeplays , if you have any more questions please PM and I will be more than happy to elaborate more on our freeplay rules.

this is the rule quoted on their site re-freeplay:

"Free Plays can be used on Money lines between -200 and +200; WagerChief.com reserves the right to deny any wager that exceeds these limits."

I presume that their software cannot cater for this rule... so from their point of view it is in the rules and there is nothing you can do nothing, although it is not fair as you lost money as a result because their program cannot deal with this and its

What I can say in their favor is that they did settle at +200, and I m sure that other books would void based on their rule: "WagerChief.com reserves the right to deny any wager that exceeds these limits"... so I d give them half credit for that.

Wagerchief why elaborate through PM. Why not elaborate here in the forum so we are all on the same page. I don't play there but I think one on one with a poster defeats the purpose of a forum.

Other books have their software set to the limit requirements. Sportbet doesn't allow odds over +500 and if you try to bet it it rejects it. It's not that difficult but the phoenix group is free rolling players by allowing a +350 bet but honouring +200 if it wins.

Actually all I was doing was pointing out that the rules don't clarify the use of a +400 or whatever wager within a parlay, only as a moneyline straight wager, in the hope they (the whole group) would clarify their rules.

The software setup is another issue, and one that really should have been fixed a while ago.

20Four7 I agree with you that the software should block anything that is not allowed to be bet on with freeplay and not just have it the rules and they void the bet... what they have done is actually a disgrace.

    Hello to all,

UV how are we a disgrace ? We have been nothing but fair to every player that has played with us and we have actually gave freeplays back to customers that played them on a over +200.

The rules are stated clearly under FreePlay rules on our site for everybody to read.

We pride on taking great care of every player .

If you have any special requests please feel free to PM me, or I will be more than happy to answer any question here on the forum.

Also we offer a free payout a month via any method including same day moneygrams for all SBR posters , something no other books offer.

    Have a great night.

    Cheers!
