    Bet Lay

    Hi,

Someone knows how to make a lay bet in a Bookie? My question is to know the maths behind the lay bet, for example in football market 1X2.

    Thanks.

You can only lay a bet at a betting exchange - betfair/betdaq/smarkets/matchbook etc

Laying is the opposite of backing a team to win. For example.

If you Lay Liverpool and the odds are 3.00 (2/1) for £10.

£10 is the amount you will win if Liverpool do not win - lose or draw. However, you will have a liability (the amount you can lose of £20). If Liverpool win, you will lose £20
