Bitstamp seems to have the tightest bid/ask prices and the lowest fees for buying and selling, but it is a bit of a hassle (and with higher fees) to get money there if you're American. Coinbase is probably the easiest way to go.

I've been using Nitrogen a fair bit recently too due to their E-Sports offerings as they occasionally have better lines than Pinnacle. They continue to impress with my only complaint being they take a little while to grade some events.

I'm Australian and my favourite is Coinjar. Very slick website and verification and depositing was easy. Have also used btcmarkets.net and it was also good.

I've seen a person to person exchange for Australians to meet each other to buy/sell bitcoin.

Any experience with this? Does it save much money? Easy to be scammed?

Coinbase really isn't an exchange it's a place to get btc and also store. Hands down they are my top choice now that they just added a vault to store your coins offline which requires u to put all kinds of security and also time delays to withdraw coins, so it's really safe.
If your looking to trade btc-e would be my choice for trading.
Blockchain.info is a great place to have your bitcoins and to send them to merchants without Coinbase hassle, gambling etc, very safe add in all safety measures, I have text messages and all for everything so I know right away even before I can log in my account.

They are good if u don't like to convert btc, if u do then Pinnacle will almost always beat all btc books.

No personal experience with this but I would assume that you would pay a lower price/fee than the online exchanges. Difficult to get scammed as long as you picked a "trusted" seller from the site and have basic knowledge of Bitcoin. That being said the fees and spreads on current aus exchanges aren't crazy enough for me to seek out individual sellers to save a few bucks.

Blockchain.info is a good wallet service, your coins are safe there. As for selling, Coinbase and Bitstamp are popular in the US.

localbitcion is the best hands down. US seems cool with this bitcion stuff now, but why attach your name/ bank account to anything especially if the intention is to fund a gambling site. The beauty of bitcion is once you obtain some it's ALL ANONYMOUS. All your winnings everything. Don't sign up for a main exchange like Coinbass and 5 years down the road they decide to investigate shit, collect taxes, etc, and you are now on a list because they see all this cash flow in and out of your bank. Use LBC. No Name required. Deposit some cash into a strangers bank account, get the coins. If you win, meet up with someone in person and get the cash. You can collect hundreds of thousands of dollars in a major city. No getting b anks involved or Walmart or anybody other than a single human being involved. Keep your anonymity. Isn't that the fcking point of bitcion? Stay away from Coinbasz, BitStump, etc. Keep it P2P (the real person to person). Just my two cents.

they never have better lines than pinny, they clone pinny and add a bunch of extra juice on both sides.

what are you seeing there that is ever better or even same as Pinny?

For what its worth if any place would have a better line only sometimes it would be Nitrogen than any other Bitcoin book, I mean only a few times and only by a few points. I have matched pinny prices to almost all the btc book and i would say 90% of the time Pinny has better margins by an average of 5cents, Nitrogen i would say pinny is better 80-85% from checking.

At the local bitcoin buttonwoods I've attended nobody wanted to buy or sell more than a couple hundred dollars. These were libertarian amateur hobbyists doing a gee-whiz thing, not people doing serious transactions. So it seems like a huge exaggeration to say you could convert hundreds of thousands of dollars anonymously, even in LA or NY.

Also, the more this becomes a thing that strangers try to do together instead of people who are ideologically affiliated and often know each other through Bitcoin meetups, the more concern I would have about depositing cash in a stranger's account.

Bitcoin is miles away from transferring large amounts of money

Definately good for smaller purchases though

There's still a lot of uncertainty with trust

-105 as far as I see (check line for first NFL game Packers vs. Seahawks).

I've used Nitrogen a little bit the last few weeks. Very impressed so far with the immediacy of deposits and withdrawals. Apparently if you bet on E-sports withdrawals must be manually cleared instead of being automatic and instant, but I don't.

I'm not the person to challenge in regards to BitCoin. I've been in on this shit since it was trading at 2 cents. I live in NYC and there are guys who will only meet up with you if the transaction is MINIMUM 10,000. They will also raise limits once they trust you. Check out localbitcoins.com, and select buy with cash. It's not a trade show or buttonwoods whatever the fck you call it. It's one person you get hooked up with through the site. You meet at Starbucks and take care of business. Most SERIOUS transactions are done this way. Nobody wants hundreds of thousands of dollars of movement of cash recorded in somebodys database someday that the US can seize and track you down. That's the WHOLE point of Bitcoin. There are also places on the dark underweb you can get thousands of dollars shipped to you in cash. Keep thinking this is some hippy libertarian thing, while the rest of the world flies by you. if you have any bitcoin related questions i'd be glad to answer them because you clearly dont know what the fck you are talking about.

I'm glad to talk to an expert.

So is this how it would happen? I go to the website and say I have 20 bitcoins to sell. The buyer and I make a meeting at Starbucks. Pull out our phones, and I send him my Bitcoin as he hands me $12,000 in cash? That's how I imagine it. Correct me on the details.

    Thanks, seriously, for your input.

Does it make sense to buy btc with coinbase and then transfer to your blockchain wallet and then to casino. Then do the reverse when cashing out for a US customer? So coinbase doesn't know they are from a casino and then you can easily put them in your bank account

I have a question about Nitrogen/BitCoins in general. Once I ask for a withdrawal from Nitrogen I'm guessing they send the withdrawal as BitCoins back to my wallet correct? Now once that is done, the withdrawal on there end is complete. How long does it take to actually transfer the BTC back to my bank account and into real cash that I see in my checking account?

Yes, I would always recommend sending your bitcoin to a third party wallet like blockchain.info/Electrum that does not ask for your identity. Remember you can make as many different Blockchain.info wallets as you can keep track of, so you can even lengthen the degrees of separation if you are paranoid.

Rule of thumb for most people is to send any bitcoin they purchase from an exchange like site such as coinbase to a third party wallet immediately.

According to Coinbase site 2-4 business days with the time varying on who you bank with.
