It seems Vegas sports books made a comeback

With all the restrictions nowadays of offshore deposit and pay out problems I would think a lot of people are going through Vegas now whether they are personally or with beards

The two major advantages for US players is it's free deposits and withdrawals and it's legal

The offshores still have much more betting options every day and are very well run

Point is the last three years or so I would think Vegas has gotten a little busier

Online books offer way better options than Vegas.

Every year when I go to Vegas their lines make me think I am playing at Bovada.

I can tell by the posts people don't bet in Las Vegas

Cantor gaming and the Hilton h take much bigger bets than most offshore sportsbooks and are very very tolerant of winners

Also lines in Vegas are very tight in many are close to pinnacle

If you're going to be a pro gambler it's a must to live there

Cantor may take a larger bet, but their lines are terrible compared to offshore.

Guys who play on line are for the most part, amateurs. They have no contacts in Vegas because they do not wager enough. Just look at the book rankings 5 Dimes is #1. I tip more than they allow you to wager at 5 Dimes. You guys keep throwing your money away on off shore books and then cry when you cannot get your money from them. For every legit offshre book, there are 4 that are not. They play you guys like a piano. Vegas is real simple. Put you money down. If you win, pick your money up. There is NO off shore book that you can do that with. NONE. You must wait for your payoffs, and then pay all of the Mickey Mouse charges they nail you with. It is called greed. You guys actually think tgat these books are going to give you something. They are NOT. Just how many of you guys aree actually winners overall in here? My guess is that the percentage is very small.

I bet Vegas during football season because its about a 5 hour drive from where I live. Last fall I was there about 3 weekends of every month. I can go for a weekend, bet on the college and nfl games and be home on sunday night. Vegas rooms are real inexpensive as well. $50 will get you a great room most of the time.

Other than that I use 5dimes. NBA,NHL etc there aren't usually enough games in a day or so to make it worth the trip. I am defiantly up more than I have lost at 5dimes....but like I said I do the majority of my betting during football season....I have no idea what amount make someone a pro bettor.

I think (just like at the casinos) the majority of people who know their sport can make some good money at online books but then they blow it on slots and blackjack and craps etc

Electronic slots etc (hell any slots) will drain you wallet very quickly.

Ive read etc than a ton of Vegas casinos would love to get rid of sportsbooks because they have so much overhead and the winnings aren't worth the trouble but they bring in some much clientele that they just can't.....could be crap but it makes sense because where I live their are a ton of native american casinos and none of them have books.....and these are the places that play blackjack with 5 decks and with an continuois automatic shuffling machine so you know they are just in it for every last damn dirty dime.

Vegas hotels will never get rid of sportsbooks

It does not cost as much now to run them because many online now.
