Using POli to deposit into Skrill -- Problems As Usual?

Does anyone else use this option to load up Skrill/Moneybookers?

Are you having trouble using it during the last 24 hours?

Won't work for me and I am just trying to confirm if it's everyone and not just me. No chance of a simple answer to that from Skrill themsleves.

I have used it about 6 times and at least half of those times I just get errors and eventually give up and do a manual bank transfer (which takes a week by the time Skrill get around to processing them).

3 support tickets sent over the last 30 odd hours and not even a "we have received your ticket" type email.

Shittiest, worst support, can't be trusted, gouging money transfer business every known imho.

I use it all the time with B365 and other vendors. Never ever had a problem.

Yet there is a penetrating problem with Skrill using it constantly. Amateurs and urgers run that joint.

No one else using Poli there?

If you do can you please go through the process and see if the Poli interface loads or you get an error message for me please?

Still no response from Skrill support.

    Todays ticket lodged....

Hi Skrill Support, not sure why I am bothering to contact you again. Maybe just for fun to see if you actually will ever reply or help. Now coming up for three days with your Poli service not working and no response from your "support dept" <-- ha ha about name,

Anyway... see you tomorrow when I email again. This might make a funny blog post to laugh at your incompetence if you just keep ignoring the requests for a bit longer!

Fortunately, topping up my Skrill account isn't something I need to do too often, but I do use Poli when I do.

    And it works for me.

I just tested it out and it worked just fine right up to loading my bank's online page.

Thanks Hareba... it's after you put in the dollar amount and click to load the Poli interfece is where it is stalling for me.

Can you please try to load the actual interface?

I either get a 500 Server Error or this...

As I said, it went right through to my bank's login page when I tested it - that comes AFTER this stage which completed correctly.

    Oh I misunderstood.

Thanks. So it must be to do with my account at skill.

I've tried another computer and 3 different browsers. Plus the server side error that comes up sometimes. So thought it was everyone.

Guess I'm stuck with a regular transfer and wait for 3 days until they get around to crediting my instant transfer, as we use the same bank.

Still no reply to any of the support tickets.

I sent a regular bank transfer at about 6.45am Monday morning (local time)

Skrill use the same Aussie bank as me, so it would have been visible in their account instantly.

It's now 1.00am Thursday (2pm Wednesday in UK) and still no sign of it being credited.

I don't get why anyone actually likes working with this mob.

They are like an incompetent version of Paypal with even higher fees.

Well, as discussed in previous threads I've always found Skrill to work like clockwork and transactions are free bar from some insignificant cost for transfers to non-bookies. On top of that I've earned thousands of dollars in rewards.
I found Neteller slower and a lot more costly on withdrawals.

Curious how you accrued the loyalty points Hareeba? I know of only one good sportsbook that isn't on the exempted points list.

Blowed if I know which are and aren't. I don't go seeking them but just find them accruing.
In recent years I've only used Skrill for Betfair, SBO, Pinnacle and Matchbook and maybe once or twice only for Centrebet.

I don't use skrill but I often have troubles loading the poli interface from a merchant website. penetrating Jetstar is the worst, it's crooked what they charge for cc and then can never get poli to launch from their website.

Sorry for bumping a 2 year old thread but im having the exact same problem, entered the amount and clicked proceed and was taken back to the deposit options page with the same red banner telling me that i was unable to deposit via poli (tried to deposit via commonwealth bank). As this thread is a couple of years im hoping someone has any info on how to deal with this problem.

I can't explain it for you because I too am with CBA and I used Poli via Skrill twice in the past week with no issues at all.

They had my account blocked for Poli deposits back then.

I don't recall exactly but think when they finally responded I had to give more ID or explain my transaction history. It works now for me.

Why would you gift them free money? Why not just do it the slow way and have patience?

If you use pinnacle why not just deposit with credit card and withdraw through the bank option?

Who are you gifting free money to? And how?

Using POLi there is no charge if your Skrill account is in AUD.
Skrill doesn't charge anything either if your bookie account is also in AUD.
creditcards can incur charges when funding gambling sites.
POLi is instant and a far better option.

I never used skrill so I thought it would have the same fees as neteller at the start but I guess i'm wrong

When I say credit card I just mean debit card and it incurs zero charges online and I find it easier to move money around - Pinni has like a 70k limit per month which most people will never cap out

    I might check out skrill

Hareeba uses Skrill enough to be VIP and avoid many fees. But if you are a new or occasional user it's similar to the Neteller fee structure as you say.

Small users are only allowed one currency in the wallet at Skrill too... so if you want to use Euro or USD only books you get stung on their expensive foreign exchange premium twice. Once on deposit and again on withdrawal. Personally I think Skrill are terrible and use anything else first. Rarely use them at all anymore.

Yes it's true I do have VIP (Bronze) status but really I don't do that much transacting at Skrill and am not aware of what is necessary to achieve the status. Frankly I've never bothered chasing status points and always ignore their emails trying to get me to do more. I use it only as I need to and have never been charged any fees for deposits; making transfers to bookies, or for withdrawals. The only fees I've been charged are rather insignificant amounts for payments to third parties. And they've been well and truly outweighed by the rewards dollars I've been credited with over time.

I've found Skrill to be the most efficient and worthwhile online service I've ever used.
