MLB season wins - betting limits

Any idea how much Vegas books will take on O/U MLB season wins? I like to play these, but a little skittish about playing large sums online since money tied up for 6 months.

Was in vegas a couple weeks ago and LVH told me $500 per bet. I imagine most other books would be around $500.

Geez..that's sounds awfully low. You figure they would be licking their chops to hold our money for six months. Plus, you wonder if sportsbooks factor in that they would not be paying all winning bets, as a significant number of tickets would be lost and some winners would simply drop dead during the long season. I'm guesstimating that should be worth an additional 2 or 3% in their favor.

$500 does sound awfully low, I would think as the season comes closer it would be at least 5k
