I agree, they need to get another e-wallet.

    Insta d ebit is good!

They promote but don't seem to understand, not only do we pay the ridiculous fees for that, we also get dinged by hidden exchange rate fees.use 'fudged' exchange rates, not the actual current rates, and pocket the difference.

As such I'm sure most Canadians are sticking to Pinnacle, Matchbook, Greek etc. who still have E-wallet options.

Bodog does not offer an e-wallet option either.

But they have interac deposit and free paper check withdrawals which is just as good, although not fast.

Skrill / Moneybookers pulled out of Canada kind of suddenly. Seems something to do with wanted to process for US state gambling and can't do both? So if you are in Canada you are kind of hurting right now at a few places. Betonline stated that they will be getting some soon but it is a process.

    I personally use p2p.

If you can find a book that allows p2p do that method, it's the best option.

Not really....both p2p companies charge you hidden fees by giving you a bad XE rate when sending CAD to USD.

    Bingo.

I argued with the ** agent as well as the book involved for quite some time. It simply made no sense that I withdraw $1,500 USD, but when I go to pick it up in CAD, I receive $1,480.

Considering that $1,500 USD should equate to more than $1,600 CAD, it will make a huge difference over time.

so no solution for canadian regarding 5dimes? We just have to deposit at this rate 1.135 rate & cashout at 1.068 rate...5dimes is #1, why couldn't they provide different currencies for their canadian clients?

Hi guys, I am new here and would like to mention that I have an ecoAccount and ecoCrd MasterCrd with ecoPayz for a while now, and use them for Poker Sites. I have not had any problems in Depositing money or getting my winnings. Plus I use it for day to day stuff too. Suggest you guys give it a try

    Hope to have helped :-)

Very expensive, pay hidden exchange fees every time.

Pay thru the nose for each transaction you use the card to wd.

Hi Krashman, I use ecoPayz and don’t agree with you. 2% on transaction wd is not "Thru the nose”. feesare on the fees page on the site very clear and not hidden. Never been charged hidden extra charges.EWhat hidden charges?

    Thanks

They don't use the actual current currency exchange rate, which you can look up online. They fudge the exchange rate and keep an extra 3% for themselves, on top of their transaction fee.

It doesn't seem like much but the other factor is that I have not found a sport book yet that allows withdrawals back to Ecopayz, so that means every deposit through ecopayz gets charged that extra 3% and every withdraw by other methods provided such as bank transfer or W . U. also gets charged 3% hidden fees plus up to the ridiculous 10% disclosed fees for W . U.

It all adds up over time.

Also, when I used Ecopayz and had to load it with C C, the C C company charged a 'equivalent to cash advance' transaction fee...

Whereas, if you use an e wallet like 1nstadebit the currency conversion is only charged one time. When you then withdraw US funds to 1nstadebit it is held in the e wallet in US funds and you can deposit back into books completely free and without the need for currency exchange or reloading with CC and thus avoid the extra fees if you want to keep the money online for your gambling bankroll..

What gambling sites are you using that allow you to withdraw your winnings back to Ecopayz? If you can withdraw back to Ecopayz and hold the funds there in USD then it would be comparable to other e-wallets.

I used it at BetCris family of books but they don't have Ecopayz listed as an available withdrawal option.

From the Ecopayz website fees disclosure: http://www.ecopayz.com/en-GB/Fees-*******

"Forex Fees Whenever a currency conversion is required to complete a transaction, PSI will automatically calculate the currency conversion rates and add a currency conversion fee 2.99%

So spending US dollars from Ecopayz in the Canadian economy actually costs 2% + 2.99% = 4.99%

Like I said though, if I can withdraw winnings from a book back to Ecopays and hold funds there for future FREE deposits back to books then it has value and is comparable to other E-wallets.

EcoPayz is apparently an e-wallet, Instadebit is an e-wallet

That's 2. There are many available to Canada. But not all allow transactions to gambling web sites.

It costs 4.99% to spend US dollars in the Canadian economy using the Eco card due to the the Forex fees, not only 2% as you stated.

For the record, Instadebit only charges $2 plus the Forex fee for any size withdrawal to a Canadian checking account, so is much cheaper than EcoPayz 2% plus Forex fee, if you want to wd more than $100 at a time.

    i am in canada

ECOPAYZ allows you to have multiple currency accounts,
so i deposit, USD TO BETCRIS(aka bookmaker), AND WITHDRAW back to my usd eco acct

then instead of cashing out to my cad bank account
I just load the eco card in usd, and go the USD bank machine that RBC offers everywhere

    saving Fx fees
