Canbet Sportsbook mgt claims players will be paid in a week

Canbet Sportsbook (SBR rating D+) management has reached out again to SBR to state that all outstanding player payouts will be processed and paid in the coming week. To this end, Canbet Sportsbook provided a prepared email statement describing the reason for the over $100,000 in player payout complaints, some of which have been delinquent for over two months. | Read more

    Good news

If they pay everyone I would think they can recover

Some serious thought must have gone into that announcement - it almost sounds plausible.

Nice of them to thank IBAS and the UKGC for their "support and understanding".

That very email dropped into my inbox on the morning of 11th December (as posted on the other payout thread). However here we are now 19th December and still no payment from Canbet. The wording used by their executive director was "paid over the coming week" So that to most people myself included would mean the Monday to Friday working week. In other words tomorrow being the last chance saloon. My cautious optimism has rapidly disappeared with each passing day judging by the amount of other Canbet players posting on other threads from MSE, Gambling Times, Facebook etc. reporting non-payment. I emailed Canbet earlier today telling them that tomorrow morning I will be opening legal proceedings against them and that I was seriously considering reporting their practises to the Insolvency Service, Ofcom and the Office of Fair Trading as it is in the public's best interest. They simply cannot continue in this vein. Wishing you all the best and a Merry Christmas!

the unheardof, I am too in a similar position to you. Received the same email as yourself and was hopeful that my sizeable payout request dating to late October would be paid, but nothing yet. I emailed them yesterday advising I would be starting legal proceedings but got their usual "robot" response. I am reluctant to go down a legal route but I see no alternative as the Gambling Commission and IBAS have been unable to help with my complaints.

Has anyone received a payment from Canbet since their email last week?

Let's hope Canbet feel festive tomorrow and pay people what they're owed!
