I recently found Betmotion at the top of the SBR bonus list and decided to give it a try. I read the terms and conditions for the bonus and there didn't seem to be any issues. I deposited €100 and they gave me €150 on top of it. Fast forward a month, I'm up about €100 from betting and I ask them a question about my rollover. They reply saying that they just noticed I'm from the UK whom they don't allow and therefore they have to return my deposit only.

Apparently this was mentioned in the sites regular terms and conditions, but conveniently not in the bonus terms. I've played through bonuses on countless sites and I've never once needed to know any information that wasn't stated in the bonus terms and conditions, so it honestly never even occurred to me to read the main T&C. I've also never heard of a gambling site that allows people to sign up for real money accounts, deposit, AND BET from jurisdictions not allowed by them. Every other site in the world manages to block such people and I'm guessing any regulator would demand this of them.

Clearly this policy is set up as a scam to take advantage of players from outside
their jurisdiction who don't read all of their terms and conditions with a fine toothed comb (isn't that like 95% of people if not more?) by stealing their winnings and keeping their losses. If I had lost my deposit there's obviously no way they would be returning it, a point they keep ignoring while pointing at "player liability" in their T&C quote.

So the question is, can I do anything to fight this? Is it worthy of a dispute or does it fall under the veil of shady frowned upon things that sportsbooks get away with? Where/with whom would I dispute this? Does anyone know who regulates Betmotion?

yeah i guess all you can do is file a complaint with sbr

but its in their terms and conditions so you are screwed

post in players talk and other gambling sites, maybe you find some other people from UK who played there, lost and did not get a refund, that should strengthen your case

So if you lost instead of won wonder if they would still have refunded you your deposit.

No they wouldn't have. I asked them that and they quoted their ToS about how it's entirely the players responsibility.

I sent an email to SBR about it but have gotten no reply for over a week
