Rogue CSR rep selling phone number to touts???

is this happening to anyone else??
I have a phone number which I ONLY have given out to one sportsbook. Never posted the number online, blah blah blah..Today I received (2) calls from two different tout services. When the second one called I made believe I was really interested and asked how they got my information. The guy said it was from an inside source. Since this number is associated with only one book there is no doubt where he got it.

has this happened to anyone else in the last week or two?? I'm assuming we have a rouge CSR employee.

Standard practice unfortunately. The customer databases get shopped around all the time if it's a CR based book.

I was like WTF is going on. and it wasn't one but two different touts within an hour. I'm livid to know that someone is accessing/selling my info.. first time I've ever had this happen in a LOT of years

Just tape the tout and then send to the FBI

Tell him first if he calls again you send the tapes to the feds

    that stops it

Yes, this has happened to me as well. My phone number and e-mail have been sold by books I signed up with.

The only book I received emails from was 18th hole, they email 3 times a week with 200 or 300 percent bonus offer. I receive almost zero spam on this email address. yesterday at the same time I got an email from a guy selling picks titled "my bookie threathened to kill me" (for winning so much) that and the 18th hole 300 percent bonus were received within seconds of one another.

Sucks big time. I checked my email and around the same time as the phone calls the e-mails have started coming in... both phone number and that e-mail are tied to the same book so there is no coincidence. Already got another call today. I don't know how anyone actually signs up with a tout service because these guys are total fools on the phone.
