DO NOT open account with Ladbrokes

ok i deposited 500 eur, im a recreational player that is betting around 50 eur a bet and i play live basketball and tennis etc.

My limits on live betting after signing were around 50-100 eur per bet and i was happy.I got very very lucky and in 2 weeks made it to 2,5K euros. yesterdays i log in on my account, i try to bet a game, says bet too high...clicked the more info and saw a 3.69 eur max amount to bet...i was WTF??? They didnt limit me after just 2 weeks...i couldnt believe. I tried to chat with them and let them know that i need atleast 20-30 eur per bet so i can continue to bet with them and they told me limits will stand, if i want i can leave. So i took 2k withdrawal, left on my account 400 or something and now i dont know what to do.

so some newb gets lucky, earns couple of hundred or a G and they limit him lol. Im using 365 and they didnt limit me at all so far, i guess they know im not a good player lol. but its funny that this A rated book is limiting me after 2 weeks.

Stay away, unless you want to deal with 3-5 euro bets.

now, can anyone suggest me another book with these in game basketball plays ( euro and nba )? Paddy power maybe or some other book?

    thanks guys

well they told me that accounts are monitored on a regular basis and bla bla they can sometime remove restrictions, lol. i still have 13-14 eur max limit for nba vets so that kinds the lower end of my bets ( 20 eur ). so those 400 are just in case. I can withdraw they anytime i want.

Im sure Ladbrokes are terrified, for you have really exposed them here.
90 years in business, all seems pointless - they may as well close now.

Paddypower, Unibet and williamhill will be good choices if you're in Europe.

your a fool to go off ratings for places here, you have said it yourself in your original post how can lads be A, so why would you care what rating they are??

Unibet are fantastic, livestream and amount they offer is pretty good, i would also recommend marathon, both are rec. books so you will no doubt run into the same issues as lads but at least it will last for awhile....all the best

I think I have seen more complaints regarding unibet than any other top european recreational bookmaker (wilhill, paddy, ladbrokes, bet365, bwin etc)

I think they were even mentioned by justin7 in a video here on sbr regarding some complaints.

The UK books are much safer, they have physical shops and have been around for much longer than online operations like Unibet.
Also as a general rule - Id avoid books licensed in Malta like Unibet/Betway/Expect/Interwetten.....
Theyre not awful, but try the UK books first.

    Ladbrokes is A type book

Limits have nothing to do if a book is good or not

Its about paying fast and a legit legal book

Sorry JJ but I just don't accept that view.

In this part of the world with regulated books we are entitled to accept safety of funds and fast payment as given.

A book which won't even accept one's custom or if they do, deny access to products and limit bets to waste-of-time amounts certainly cannot be classified as "good".

That's almost like saying a casino is not good if it kicks out people who count cards... bookmakers like casinos are in the business of taking people's money so they throw out the ones that would actually win in the long run. simple

Fully aware of that Allin but that doesn't entitle them to be rated as "good".

And none of these corporate cowards ever explains how Pinnacle (apparently) makes profits whilst accepting all comers without finding the need to limit them.

Pinnacle is almost like an exchange. The small juice is their commission. Totally different species. You already know this

The other bookmakers are recreational books. Some of them even warn you that they only accept recreational bets. They consider their services as offering entertainement. For a recreational bookmaker, ladbrokes is definitely "good"

I know you can argue that making money with a mathematical edge can be "entertainement" or "recreational" for some... but you know what I mean...
