    Canbet a disgrace!!!

    Hi guys,


    I have just joined and I have some valuable info regarding this canbet fiasco. I am a Canbet member and have requested a withdrawal for 4k Australian Dollar. This was a couple of weeks ago. Anyway I sent 3-4 emails to them regarding this and they just ignored me. The funny thing is that after doing some research, I discovered that the Canbet head office is just around the corner from where I live. This is in Melbourne, Australia by the way. So I gave them a call with an Australian local number and managed to speak to a chief manager there. His name was Micheal. I was on the phone to Micheal for a good 30 mins. During this 30 minute conversation I drilled the crap out of the guy and I advised that if he and the company don't pick there act up I will be heading down to the office with the local police and a legal team. The conversation ended with Micheal advising that the payment should be in my bank account mid next week. He has also sent this through via email to me what was discussed on the phone. My personal impression from the conversation is that they are struggling financially and that is why they are spinning all this bulshit about technical issues. Hopefully for mine and all other customers sake they
    recover and start paying everyone out soon. I also emailed the IBAS in the Uk, who advised me that Canbet have also given them this bullshit technical issues excuse and to give them some time as they have been paying customers out 3-4 weeks in delay currently. I am going to give Micheal a call again tomorrow to check on the progress of this "technical issue", and will post on here what his response is. Let me know if you want any more info from me regarding the issue.

    Good job Greg, I was paid after almost a month, but it wasn't without hassle. They cancelled my withdrawal after 28 days waiting, after that I was really pissed off and mailed them 10x within 5 minutes. In the mails I said that I filled in complaints at SBR and IBAS, also mentioning that it was outrageous of them cancelling my payment. After 3 hours they paid me, which I think wasn't a coincidence..

    So try to be gentle, but cutting and mail them a few extra times, maybe you get paid.

    The terms and conditions state that max 5 business days I should have my money. It has now been nearly 3 weeks. I've lodged cases with both the IBAS and Gambling Commission UK. I have all the required evidence(Screen shots, emails, ect as well as promises to pay at a certain time and then when it was time to pay, they gave the technical difficulties excuse again. I have never communicated with IBAS before, do you think that I will win the case?

    Canbet is regulated by the UK Gambling Commission, who have the power to revoke bookmaking licenses. I'd love to know how bad a bookmaker has to behave before they actually do this, because they've known about Canbet's behaviour for quite some time now.

    jjgold - getting paid after 6 weeks is not acceptable. Do you think it is? These guys have been saying it's a technical issue for a long time now. I was told this excuse back in April!!!! It's the excuse they use when they don't have the liquidity to cover people's winnings. They should be banned from operating, since they are gladly advertising about their service, accepting people's deposits instantly, yet holding back money owed to hundreds of customers. You know this, because we've both been commenting on this problem for months now.

    To anyone affected, please make a formal complaint to the regulator as soon as you can. And use forceful language to demand they act! Here is the website: http://www.gamblingcommission.gov.uk/

    i have been waiting 4 weeks now since i made my withdrawal. have constantly been fed the same line re technical issues and payment to be done as soon as possible! the queue of people waiting sounds very long....

    I received 2 payments last night. Maybe it was the fact I e-mailed them telling them I was filing a complaint against them or maybe it was my turn in the queue. I had been e-mailing them every week and getting the same excuses than all of you.
    I made a complaint with IBAS and Gambling Commission yesterday evening, money was in my Skrill account less than 24 hours later.
    1. Withdrawal 320€ requested on 16-October. Received after 34 days.
    2. Withdrawal 405€ requested on 21-October. Received after 29 days.

    No coincidence that Canbet makes payment after informing them about an official complaint filed with either IBAS, UK Gambling Commission, or Small Claims. I am aware of at least 4 customers who have been paid within hours of making this known to them. The problem is, if everyone does this.... can they afford it? Would suggest it has nothing to do with a technical issue with their payment system. But nobody really believed that anyway, right?

    Mojo - it is pure coincidence. I have filed with ibas and uk gambling comission and not a thing from canbet. Day 39 I think. It appears they are either incompetent to the extent they just randomly pay people or they are selecting who to pay based on some criteria. It's scandalous that the uk gambling comission and ibas seemingly allow this to continue without effective intervention. Gambling commission essentially told me to contact canbet for further info....and guess what "technical issue blah blah blah". We shall see how that technical issue stands up to independent review in court when I file....

    I, as I'm sure many other mugged off punters, wont use them again.I'll let you remaining guys know when I've been paid.It seems they are doing their backlog back to front.The sept/oct guys are still waiting but the nov's have been paid.
