Tom Waterhouse ran a tonne of television ads here in Australia.
They offered no sign up bonuses and the lines were worse than most other aussie books for sports betting so I never made an account.
Might have been a decent book for the horsies but I never bet them so I wouldn't know.

Horse action is huge in Australia

Way bigger than sports and all these Aus books have so many horse deals and good odds

Hopefully massive UK Giants don't destroy Australia Spots betting

Waterhouse got a lot of business from that book that went busto in Adelaide?? about 1.5 years ago. Remember he was offering $100-$200 on your balance and bigger gamblers were telling him to piss off but the little sports ones went flocking. And then the bigger ones went there anyway if they wanted to bet sports because if you asked for a limit increase, he'd give it and would move lines. $100+ million for a guy in business a couple of years.

You misrepresented the bitcoin piece a bit.

    Here is the forbes article

    http://www.forbes.com/sites/kashmirh...is-real-money/

and here is another article where bitcoin is now on bloomberg

    http://btcgeek.com/bitcoin-ticker-arrives-on-bloomberg/

Just because SBR fails to grasp how bitcoin (alt coins in general) is changing the landscape in the gray areas of legal activities does not mean it is failing. Just the opposite.

Perhaps if SBR had the right leadership and talent they could have been pioneers in this bitcoin rocket. Instead they failed in this aspect.

IT IS ILLEGAL to take bets from Americans or use any sort of baking system to fund or withdraw

Will Hill over paid here, there otive is to control Au market thats all and have $20 max bets when you hit a few $500 bets in a row

    Indeed...

Ur above example reminds me of the music industries response of do nothing when online music streaming 1st became a blip on the radar...

Industry lost billions by not adapting to change when the rest of the world 1st knew it had to...

The reason most of the big uk books are paying over the odds, and they are paying over the odds is one reason and one reason alone

At some point the rule banning ip betting online during games down here in australia will be pulled back and when it does all of the books we all know and love want their piece of the pie.

and tom waterhouse was as bent as they come, along with his cheating father and horrible mother.

Tried to tell them in charge his mum wouldnt give him the inside info on how horses in her charge were going

Lets just hope Willy Hill does not imply strict reduction of limits like they do in the UK where they want big losers and $10 a game win bettors

I am worried for Aus Players

We've still got it ten times better than the US at the moment, if online live betting is legalized we're golden.

Yes...you are talking about Sorts Aive. Offered me 50% of my $600 odd balance - had to roll over (5 times I think) at odds of over 2.00 which Imanaged to do. They pissed off alot of people in the country including other bookmakers by infiltrating sports telecasts with odds - Waterhouse himself blurred the lines between bookmaker and commentator. Venture lost millions but his plan all along was to be gobbled up by a giant and make some nice bucks realtively short term. As far as odds go they were vanilla - ass far as i am concerend they offer nothing to entice me to stay.

JJ how was it a "generic" book? What is a "generic" book?

JJ do you even really know if it was a "generic" book?

He isn't a bum, he is just adding millions to the millions he already had before he even opened a book.

Most Aussie books use shell software especially for horses and somewhat for sports

All they do is buy it , get licensing and promote it and I guess Aussies bet anywhere

Sportsbetting.com.au another one of these as is topsports

JJ doesn't that mean he would have the same odds as where he bought from?

JJ where did he buy his shell from?

JJ Tom Waterhouse is not oddsmatrix systemisation

    JJ topsports is not

    JJ NO JJ

Tom Waterhouse was a front man for Robbie, definitely not a bum. Although I wish Hayson had ran well and cleaned him out before he got started, the whole family are crooks.

Small players are drawn to bonuses that Aussie books use to lure players, larger players will play anywhere they can get money down. Waterhouse used to be good for racing, in that he'll take a large bet, but Waterhouse style is to only lay the last 10 minutes before jump time. You're not getting on at top odds with a Waterhouse.

Lots of smaller books are primary for horse racing by rails bookmakers, so the sports odds are just their for convenience, expect vanilla odds because that isn't their business.
