Its Interesting How Most Of The Old School Pioneer Never Went Broke

The Pinny, Greek, types did leave US Market but still around, SIA and BoDog have some restrictions for USA players but doing well. Carib, Intertops, First Fidelity Group, Jazz Books, BetUS, Bookmaker, 5 Dimes, Heritage still around and solid. Sportbet stil there as is Sportsbook.com. I might be missing a few ..I know WSEX was a pioneer and went bust. I guess they get it and know how to run a book. Through the years so many smaller tier shops went bust, some smaller tier places do well but under the radar.

I dont use a lot of online books, but how many of the smaller shops went bust in the US crack down of online gambling? I think some of the pioneer books have stuck around because they diversified into other countries. Just my 2 cents.

Hubie not a bad point.........Jazz books still all over the place. I think main reason is they have pros running it and understanding what bookmaking is. So many bopoks like to gamble with players funds and of course that rarely works....what they should do is hedge the money off.

Many dont put up with the Zeta's, Santoro's, and Fisheads. The angle shooters, bonus whores, etc. straight forward, not fukkin around, sportsbooks.

Not sure about this, all shift JJ's preach "business as usual", which seems to be where this is headed.

ESB was not even a dot on the map Leo..lol now you will mention Top Turf too and oasis and even intertops. Intertops is a pioneer Son..Oasis bought out..I forgot about Bowmans..bought out...MOST STILL GOING STRONG..LEO maybe go back to Norte del Valle and move that watered down snow and bring it to Honduras like a fukkin rookie.

Bet365 has been running since the early eighties.
It was Bowmans then but, I feel it is the strongest book around.
Odds are a problem but customer service & quick payouts have never been an issue.

I think Tony is ok not cutting you down unless your betting too much steam.. I do not think your going to get real big bets down there buts suitable for 98% of players.

If half the stuff written about WSEX is true they knew how to build a brand just not what to do with the money once they got it.

now bet365 knows how to run a book. A ton of advertising in Europe, probably the best live betting options out their and if they think you have a clue betting prematch they will limit you almost instantly. But if you beat them betting live I hear they won't limit you

you can last a while winning..meaning like 10k or so if your a $500 type bettor

Russian books rival 365 as far as live betting although kid of generic software (fonbet, Marathon)

Whenever there was steam you could have prices 10-40 cent off market at Wsex. And that was for up to 20 seconds after the move. I often wondered that they could afford such slowly linemanagers for such a long period of time. At the end of the road Wsex simply have been arbed to death.

The pioneers had access to a focus group that had tons of liquidity and giant entertainment needs. They (the focus group) were willing at the time too have an anything goes attitude when it came to spending which also supported the massive expansion and corporate take over of Las Vegas. You could earn money as fast as you could lose it back then and that applied to a majority percent of the US population. Many pioneer services had so much cash coming in that they would put it into everything... real estate, service ventures, other investments... which all provided a long term return that would supplement business as usual when it came to gaming. The ultimate reserve on hand and incoming revenue streams for some of these places was huge and would take the worst type of business decisions/luck to end up losing all. Even if a place did take a hit or lose a reserve on hand they could still make it from non postup revenue streams that were continually coming in to see them to another lucrative, unregulated and non taxed NFL season.

    I agree with this.

I don't chase steam and wager under $350 per play and I haven't been limited.

No book will cut your limits if you are rarely in the green. So if you don't want your limits cut don't win often.

    Incorrect Paver especially Euro Books

If you bet weak lines big and lose lets say 10 grand or so your limits will be cut

Betting weak lines is a sharp bettor
