    Marathonbet INSANE rule warning.

Sportsbook I placed a wager in play
    31.05 10:27
    CAD 170.00
    Single
Handicap Betting - Al Mkala (-1)
    Unsettled
    Yemen. Men. Premier League
I took a wager with a score 2;18 for Al Mkala . Al Mkala was a big dog so the odds /line is not an issue . What ever happen in this game it is been called official ( going in to the 4th Q) Final 13:83
Al Mkala won . Mercy rule or what they didn't play 4th Q
    http://livetv.ru/en/team/3_71328_358_al_mkala/ Final .

Now this wager is been sitting unsettled in my account . Emailed them 3 times got no reply . So why not to call them ? I did . Apparently Marathonbet has a rule

If a match or a competition is for some reason postponed but is started within
48 hours after the planned official time, then all bets will stand. If it is
not started within 48 hours then all bets will be void apart from those
instances when the market result has already been determined. This does not
apply to events which in their regular course take over 48 hours.

About 2 hours later i get 8 emails in 4 min with same content (48 hour rule) from same agent i spoke to . Fine .

    My reply to them (her)

Now in regards to your 48 hour rule . The wager I placed IS IN PLAY with the score 2-18 (-1) Al MIkala . Am i gotta get +15 points if the game is replayed ??? If not why would i take -1 ? The wager is in play with certain conditions .

How would you grade a soccer wager on the game where the score is 3:3 O/U 6.5 in play and the game is replayed ? So i have to pray for 7 goals with a score 0-0 .
This is very important to know ( for the gambling community) . The conditions in play vs pre game wager are not the same .
I am gonna post this on SBR forum . Look the game is official 13-83 .

thx for same 8 emails that you send me within 4 min . Did you get upset with me ? I was more than polite , and only mentioned that you don't even bother reply to my emails so i had to call .

PLS forward my email to your management . If you don't I'll get in touch on my own or with help.

    Dear Vitaly,

Thank you for contacting Marathonbet Customer Service.

Our rules do indeed apply to 'live' and 'pre match' events.

If a game/match/event is interupted/abandoned/postponed the sports rule below
    applies:

If a match or a competition is for some reason postponed but is started within
48 hours after the planned official time, then all bets will stand. If it is
not started within 48 hours then all bets will be void apart from those
instances when the market result has already been determined. This does not
apply to events which in their regular course take over 48 hours.

I have forwarded the email to the results team for them to look into, but as
far as I am aware our rules as outlined on our website will stand.

If there is anything else we can help you with, please let us know.

    Kind regards,

    Kath

    Are you kidding me ?
You take a wager where the score is 3:3 O/U 6.5 in play
or Basketball game where the the team is up by 40 with 5 min left and if he game is replayed your original wager in play will stand . Is this for real ?

Anyway i am not gonna lose any money . This game is been declared official 13-83 .

Regardless of how they gonna rule this game i am done with them .

More to this story . HALF TIME LINE WAS -59.5
Now if you the game is replayed that is your line
    http://postimg.org/image/6lrufz2vt
    /
    http://postimg.org/image/3jxc12zbp/

Really ? At some point the game is even then up by 50 . And if the EVEN game is replayed you have to hope they cover 59.5

I am gonna email this to PNL and BRW and post it at 5 other forums , Let them have a laugh at Marathon expense .
By the way my account #
    : 2534562
If anyone thinks i wanna keep it . LOL .

    GL.

PS.With this rules AVOID AVOID AVOID . I will never find my self in the same situation with pinnacle, asian or any other A rated book . Sooner or later someone is gonna lose his shirt .

That's the most pathetic thing I've seen a book pull on here. I would bet every baseball team that's losing big if there's rain coming, use their own rule against them.

Seems a fairly standard rule to me, and if that game did indeed get abandoned and wasn't played to completion or finished off in the 48 hour period then all bets void.

It sucks when you are on the right side of things, but at the same time is the only fair way to deal with a game that is called off like this - assuming they also voided all bets on the other team as well - otherwise they are in a situation where they would void losing bets on one side according to that rule and then have to pay out winning bets on the other side.

I am unfamiliar with the actual rules of Yemeni Basketball, but if they actually have a "Mercy Rule" then you would hope that a book would also have a rule in place to cover this, though it appears that in this case it did not, but then it still depends whether this game was actually called off to an official Mercy Rule or whether the team getting hammered just decided to quit and go home - in which case the above rules should apply as technically the game was not completed...

Standard for the pre game .Yes. Would you place a wager for a team to win down down by 50 with 4 min left ? No you would not . What are the odds ??? When i placed a wager in play it was according to score and actual odds , risk vs odds .

Regardless I am not gonna lose my wager .If an official result is not enough then wagers like this should be voided right away!!! If not then you are on your own and hope your team covers -59.5 when the pre game +16 .

Maniac. TNX for your input . Somehow you missed a point , i am not asking for the wager to be graded as winner , i am warning others of the possibilities to lose everything on what would seems to be a sure thing .
No other book apply this rules to live wagering (in play)that your bet stands if the game is replayed .
THIS IS INSANE = to - you wager on Texas Rangers -1.5 to win with Yu Darvish at the plate against a bum (Tex is up 5 :0), next thing you know game is called off andnext day Britney Spears is pitching for Texas . Should your wager stand ???

    Same here .

Stop going crazy over nothing. If nothing else happens, your bet is void, which will be the case. If the match resumed within 48hrs it will do so at current score and complete with live bets standing. If by some miracle they play within 48hrs and start again from 0-0 Marathon would do the right thing and void live bets placed on the first match. Common sense applies.

Stupid book using the standard betting rule for a live bet/where clearly the odds and conditions are changed.

Shouls be a void on any live play match not completed.

Edit to add - checked a few books I use for in play betting - all have same language, in match play must go the standard times/innings to be considered complete. Suspension/failure to complete will result in no play.
