I was trying to open an account with Sportbet.com.au today, but found that My country (Denmark) was not on the list. I mail them and asked why. After about three email back and forth, they told me the reason was, that it is illegal to bet online in my country. I didn't really understand that, because I have been betting online the last 6-7 years, and EU law makes sure that it can't be illegal . Denmark even has tax laws that specify how much to pay in tax. I tried to tell them what is really going on here, but they basically told me to shout up and move on.

If this is their logic, I would STAY THE HELL AWAY from these guys, Unless you want to hammer their slow moving odds or take their bonus
Very strange way to treat a potential costumer, and seems like they don't want to admit they were wrong(something you normally see from rank D bookmakers).

They are now owned by Paddy Power and bottom line is that they are only really interested in Australian customers.
They will take some non-Aust customers bit if you live outside Australia I would stay away from them too.
