maybe they reduced the limits because it's the end of the season and there are only a few, hard to predict, matches left?

Lots of sketchy matches at end of season. Particularly, Italy, match-fixing has been rampant in their leagues to ensure sides avoid relegation.

You will see some very strange draw prices when the draw suits both sides, amazing how it always seems to end up that way too.

Happens every year. End of Season limits go down.

Both Germany and Italy (especially Italy) have had all sorts of issues with match fixing over the years and it is this time of year, as the season comes to a close, where traditionally the "meaningless" games have been targeted to be fixed.

Even without games being fixed, when there are so many games where teams don't have much to play for then it also makes sense to drop limits as well really to save getting caught out.
