    hmm, I would say sbobet

its like a hybrid between bet365 and pinnacle

that was a complete surprise, mentioning bet365 and pinnacle I thought you were going to say you were kicked out by bet365, pinnacle does not have the rep of turning away players, although recently there have been some cases

5dimes is very good. There customer service isnt the best but nearly everything else is better than any other book I have ever seen. Also fast payouts.

completely disagree, 5dimes is a house of cards and it can fall at any time, they have been having a lot of payout issues lately as well as a long history of taking advantage of and freerolling customers

and anyhow, if you have access to european and asian sportsbooks you'd be an idiot to actually send your money to a costa rican book, they are all BIs waiting to happen

Yea, I dont have access to eiro or asian books unfortunately. I just processed a payout at 5dimes, next day with **. For US players its clearly the best option and IMO its not remotely close.

well op has access to bet365 and pinnacle so he has a lot better options than taking a roll of the dice with a costa rican book

    things I dont get

1.people suggesting costa rican books to non US citizens
2.people thinking that the fact that they got paid makes a book safe, there were people reporting successful withdrawals by BI all the way to the bitter end, and the people that reported being stiffed were labelled as crazy liers

Come on... we have been talking about a half dozen good books that offer bonus´s or post up an do not take a bonus... do a thread search for BONUS... but I would take Bookmaker up on that 100% up to $300 if you can... Chris family and it does not get much solider than that. Before anyone says B365 or Pinnacle or any of the other major market services they are all equally solid at that level and funds safe... but 100% from a Chris book is something special in my opinion...

Number 2 i definitely agree with... the first though has alot to do with bonuses and perks. Also, it is not illegal for US citizens to technically gamble online nor if a grey area was exploited by authorities would they bother with a player so recommending or suggesting CR books is also no big deal. Looks like Antigua just got another judgement against the US... a few mil instead of the couple billion they were asking for. This is now a couple dozens cases the US has basically lost through the WTO... interesting to see how this continues to play out with all the state pressure coming... have heard Feds might make a move within next year to start opening up online sports betting, not sure exactly how this will play out... more of a wait and see but in my opinion it is coming sooner than most think. The feds got bigger fish to fry nowadays...

I was mentioning good non A rated books and included... or post up an do not take a bonus... in my statement to point out that books looked at for bonuses can also be looked at without a bonus and that a few could be found in a thread with the word bonus. It mentioned a few, meaning more than one and would be easy for a guy to get a lead on a bunch instead of searching through threads that might specifically only talk about one at a time...

look the reason why costa rican books are a bad choice is simple, they are not financially viable

BI went down for 1.5 mil, euro/asian bookies like sbo/bet365 take that kind of action within an hour, yet for a costa rican book its probably a few months worth of action, heck euro books spend 100 times that money in advertising campains every year

costa rican books have a small turnover, so a bad season can fold them, as it is happening right now, and to make things worse their profit margins are cut short because they have expenses that other books dont have, like processor charges, extremely high deposit withdrawal charges, seizes funds by us governemnt etc

blow of the wind can close down a costa rican book, if you can avoid them you should, and suggesting a costa rican book to this guy is irresponsible at best, and to my opinion criminal

although I will agree with you that bookmaker/chris seems solid as far as costa rican books go, probably because unike other CR books they dont offer reduced juice or crazy bonuses

Shroom... your points are very valid for 95% of services coming out of CR... but that is few known and many unknown services. The books that advertise at the top make up less than 1% of available services and generally all books ever mentioned on this forum in addition would still only make up less than 1% of CR services. But keep in mind this tiny fraction of services are generally the only ones talked or posted about so that is our focus group... there are easily 1 to 2 dozen services out of Costa Rica that I would safely recommend and that are run well and have the finances and or infrastructure to not only handle one but multiple bad seasons or beats by either luck or skill... Chris/Bookmaker being only one. The Fidelity and Tradwinds families are strong as well as Heritage and associates... as well as some others. So recommending any of them is far from criminal in my opinion. Any of the other 370 plus services are highly questionable and most of them if recommended I would consider criminal... but we are not discussing them nor are we recommending them. Also, for any PROs or strong enthusiasts, all good available outs should be on the table considering how fast one can be limited and or no actioned if showing any real skill and or financial threat to a service. Once you are profiled sharp you cannot be unprofiled and then that is that for the out and it needs to be replaced or spend your life grinding out non derivitive $100 bets or less... would you not agree...

sure, I guess there are good costa rican books out there, just difficult to have faith in them with all that has happened

and at the end of the day, they are books that are operating illegaly, so not only are you sending money to people that are breaking the law which makes them less credible, but it also means that their operation could be shut down at any time by the US government seizing their funds or arresting the owners/financial backers

Actually, since the Costa Rican books that are operating out of Costa Rica are technically in a sovereign jurisdiction which is unregulated and has laws of their own then no laws are being broken. Thats like going to Amsterdam and doing a bong hit and the cops in New York claiming you broke the law... man, were is J7 when you need him, seriously... got some Scooby snacks, here boy, here boy.

well sure, anyone who wants a legal bong hit should travel to amsterdam, and anyone who wants to wager legaly should travel to costa rica. or europe or asia etc etc or nevada

and offering online wagering to us citizens is illegal, which is why the best books in the world dont offer betting to the us, and which is also why sbr does not give sportsbook cash to us citizens and which is why costa rican book owners cannot step foot on US soil or they immediately get arrested

I thought you were a consultant for costa rican books, what do you tell them then when they are consulting with you? 'business as usual guys, if you can smoke weed in amsterdam you can book bets from the united states'

HHHMMMM... you are confusing and bundling a group of things that are independent of each other and mean different things, The wire act of 1961 and our good old more recent oogoooy as we call it is another but the basics are this... It is the gaming related financial transactions that are processed and or transfered and or handled on US territory or in federal jurisdiction that are the main target... If a player sends a p2p to another country then the end processor is under that foreign countries jurisdiction... hence no processors technically in the US. The wire act of 1961 says interstate gambling is illegal but does not apply to international... so in both these cases the foreign processor cannot be bothered nor technically can the player with international gaming. It is regulated that no business based in federal jurisdiction can be involved in financial international online sports gaming financial transactions... not the offering of wagering. This is not what you have said... the outfits that have pulled out are generally so large with so many international interests that having access to US based financial institutions is important to them but if that was not necessary it would be business as usual. Many North facing owners come and go as they please to this day all the live long day as long as they do not go on 60 minutes and start shooting their mouths off which would be insulting to some and they would find or invent a way of giving them a hard time if they could. Owners are generally separated by many degrees from any finacial transactions so that does not really matter either... So, really what the laws say is that it is illegal to accept sports related wagers in most of the US jurisdiction and it is illegal to make interstate sports wagers in most of the US jurisdiction and it is illegal to be a US based company and be involved in the financial transactions of international gaming. So, not the same thing... The US has now just lost there 2 dozenth WTO case and it was against Antigua and Antigua was awarded damages though they did not get awarded the 2 billion dollars they sued for... so, as a consultant this is a long winded and boring topic that you have so conveniently bundled into something that is broad and not accurate... but to sum it up, your statement of offering online wagering to US citizens is illegal please specifically quote the legislation that specifically says this and how it could be possibly applied internationally or even to a foreign citizen which is what we are talking about by your statement... all of offshore and myself would like to see this particular and specific law.

sorry, tried reading but it was impossible, try using paragraphs and punctuation

I fail to see how you have any connection to the offshore business seeing as you are unaware of the law

The Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act of 2006 (or UIGEA) is United States legislation regulating online gambling. It was added as Title VIII to the SAFE Port Act (found at 31 U.S.C. §§ 53615367) which otherwise regulated port security. It "prohibits gambling businesses from knowingly accepting payments in connection with the participation of another person in a bet or wager that involves the use of the Internet and that is unlawful under any federal or state law.

    ----

In April 2011, the founders of PokerStars, Full Tilt Poker, and Absolute Poker, the three largest Internet poker companies that then accepted U.S. players, were among those indicted for in charges that including violations of the UIGEA. According to the United States Attorney in New York, the companies allegedly tried to circumvent UIGEA rules with the help of others who acted as "payment processors" by helped disguise gambling revenue as payments for non-existent goods such as jewelry or golf balls.

    ----

A federal grand jury in Baltimore Maryland has indicted Bodog Entertainment Group S.A d/b/a Bodog.com and four Canadian individuals involved with the group including Bodog Brand founder Calvin Ayre. The Feds indictment includes just two charges; count one, Conducting an Illegal gambling business from June 2006 to January 2012, count two, money laundering conspiracy over the same period.
The federal prosecutors are alleging that that the group conspired to pay over $100 Million in sports gambling winnings to winning sports bettors by wire and checks through payment processors located within the United States.
In addition to paying millions to winning gamblers, Bodog Entertainment S.A. is accused spending $42 million of dollars through an unnamed media company to advertise directly to gamblers based in the United States.

    ---

Donald Hellinger and five associates of Payment Processing Center were charged last year with operating an illegal money transmission business, illegal gambling and money laundering for having distributed over $40m in gambling payments during the years 2005 and 2006 on behalf of betonusa.com, bodog.com, sportsbook.com and betonsports.com.

Well, first... quote: sorry, tried reading but it was impossible, try using paragraphs and punctuation... I would give you +2000 that you did in fact read all I communicated and that you basically understood it...

    Second... quote:

*This will have to be proven.... but with the stupidiy of the onshore transactions they may have a case... hard to say, they will probably settle and fine the shit out of whoever they can...

These are complicated cases because they had supossedly violated so many on shore financial regulations... if this had not been the principle underlying or being the foundation of the case then the rest would not be an issue...

But like I pointed out... there is no legislation that specifically says that it is illegal for an international service to offer wgaering to US citizens nor is there specific legislation that says it is illegal for a US citizen to place international wagers...

Secretary of State visted Costa Rica a few years ago and met with the CR president and someone pointed out that Sportsbooks in Costa Rica were not breaking any laws by offering wagering to US citizens... and I quote her response... ¨YES, I KNOW BUT DO NOT RUB OUR NOSES IN IT¨ end quote...
