Probably for legal reasons as apologizing could be seen as an admission of guilt. Or it could simply be that they don't give a fukk.

    at least a statement saying......
"we are aware of the situation and are working constantly to bring about a resolution to the situation, as we have recognized the impact this has had"

    Would seem appropriate.

They're in denial. They want to party on and we're a nuisance not to get that.

That would be a lie, SBR won't invest any more time or money into betislands, what makes you think they care about the impact it has had on any of you?

Fact is...you're still here and forum is busy....what you need to do is make an impact on SBR's incoming bandwidth based on their involvement in the betislands scam.

I personally don't think enough people really care/they can't actually hurt SBR anyway.

The more they talk about it the harder it is to forget.

SBR theory is to let this one burn itself out.

After 3 years people will have forgotten and the new wave of degenerate losing gamblers will reline walkers pockets once again.

It is one method of damage control used by a variety of industries.

never played at BI and never heard of them before i joined this forum recently

but it seems to me that SBR is turning a blind eye to the fact that they played a role in the fiasco. I was implying that some sort of damage control should be done and not just remain mute on the situation.

Weather its a lie, the truth, or just a dismissive response to the situation, some sort of official SBR statement should be released.

I stopped posting my action here (I post somewhere else now) I am generally disgusted by SBR, BI and costa rica as a whole as a result of this betislands bullshit.

Frankly any statement SBR makes that soothes players will be a discredit to them so I doubt they make it.

I'm lucky enough to have other options then costa rican books, I feel bad for my southern friends.

edit: FWIW: I had 0 balance @ betislands

They did nothing wrong. Anyone that played at BI is an idiot. People posted, both here and other forums, that their model couldn't last, and it didn't. If you fell for the bait, oh well.

As the above drone suggests, they don't think you're worthy of an apology. You're all degenerate gamblers. The prey. The cat to be skinned.

We'll see how and where this ends.

i just started logging back on here after a while... I havnt been on since BI was bet Jam, i think... what was BI SBR rating when all this went down?

if it was so obvious that the model wouldnt last, but it had a good SBR rating... wouldnt that just expose their whole rating system thing as BS

That pretty much sums up what you missed. ( Of course, you wouldn't want to miss the parts where SBR backed up Jon's lies!)

As far as I know BI had nothing to do with BetJam -- two completely different operations.

Maybe bc SBR doesnt give a fuk and the posters in these threads keep demanding SBR pay them some of the money that was stolen which is about as likely as the Wizards winning this years NBA championship

SBR John & Bill found themselves scrambling for revenue after they lost BetJam/Greek. Even though Mr. Jon had a sorted past and no money, SBR backed BI with free marketing for a % because SBR John loved BI Jon. Everyone understood this kid had no experience running a book; including SBR, but everyone turned a blind eye.

When BI found itself in trouble its backers kicked the brand, SBR and Jon to the curb. Jon's story quickly changed as did SBR's. Both are complicit in the theft of BI players. BI players greed also got the best of them. If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck and quacks like a duck...its a gosh darn duck!

These sportsbooks have a strong history of paying players during the offseason:
    1. 5Dimes or Betanysports
    2. Bookmaker
    3. Heritage
    4. Youwager
    5. Legends
    6. Justbet

These sportsbooks have has a history of slower payouts during the offseason:
    1. BetUS
    2. b e T 3 3

Whats SBR gonna say "We scammed your dumbasses out of 100s of thousands of dollars by being the only site on the net that would sink low enough to promote a dump scambook run by a brokedik tattooed freak former poster like it was an A book and we're fuckin Costa Rican whores 5 at a time on our cut of your money but we're sorry bout it"

They should use some of the money they collected on "share revenue" for their affiliate deal. Those links everywhere are not to keep track of clicks, just go and ask books if SBR collects affiliate payments, the ones I've done, simply say yes.

It makes sense to do it. Bad is that they hide it. Just wait for any other non-sponsor book to do something, I'm certain they will use that to keep attention away from the BI fiasco.

it really is upsetting after how irresponsible/dishonest everyone involved was in this affair, none of those responsible have expressed any remorse or sympathy for the victims

perhaps they think they can sweep it under the rug and just go on business as usual at places like ez street, but the fallout from this has damaged reputations that will not be forgotten

If a 1 v ice had one slow payment SBR would make a video about it. They made a fortune of betislands therefore they acted like it was a shock to them.

There is just no honesty or integrity from any regulatory bodies these days. Regulatory bodies over time start to advance their own selfish interests and the interests of the industry it is charged with regulating (in politics this is called "regulatory capture" or the "political iron triangle"). Of course this is not limited to online sportsbook reviews. Research all of the regulatory agencies here in the US or over in Europe.
