    who has better lines? vegas or pinnacle

    who has better sports betting lines in general? pinnacle or the vegas casinos?

    SIA has great lines. Sounds like BOL has great lines if timely payouts are not a priority of yours.

    Pinnacle has great lines, but I prefer slow moving books.

    Vegas lines sucks.. Only advantage @ Vegas is the fact that you can collect your cash right away which I prefer.

    Not always. I have seen widely available lines in Vegas that you couldn't get off-shore. Usually just half point but still interesting. The hockey dogs in Vegas are sometimes softest in the world.

    Pinnacle by far.

    Vegas lines are equal to about a 3rd tier super square vanilla book. The top Vegas sportsbook has nowhere near the budget that Pinnacle invests into their line making. Casinos invests only a fractional budget on the sportsbook while Pinnacle has the luxury of allocating almost their entire budget on bookmaking.

    Vegas has better lines actually, Pinnacle has the smallest hold on average but you can get lines in Vegas equal to or better than pinnacle I would say 75% of the time.

    That might change with all the shit that just hit the fan and places arent fooling around with numbers and pinnacle losing some players, but vegas isnt as bad as everyone thinks it is. Just have low limits for guys who like to bet more than air, points, or lunch money. But for 95% of the people who gamble their limits are more than enough.

    I lol at all the people who say Pinny has "better lines". They may always have the market best price on at least one of the sides in the game, this doesn't mean you are going to beat them. Far better off not fukking with Pinnacle who are widely regarded to be up there with the sharpest of the sharp on US Sports etc.

    I know for a fact that some vegas casinos have higher limits than pinnacle, but i dont know if the lines are better. pinnacle sometimes give 1.953 on both the over and under, i am not sure the casinos can do much better than that. i thought this thread would lead to a consensus, but it seems divided along the aisle!!

    Depends on who you compare it with...if Pinny has -105 -105 and other books -110 on the same spread, then clearly they are better on both sides.

    The best lines (on paper, not talking about what/when sharps want to hammer a game) are at Matchbook, not always available obv. but right now Broncos -10 +104 Raiders -106. After comission this is a 3c spread, and you can do better if you make an offer on the +105 probably.

    matchbook has to be matched plus you pay 2% on top of it, so it actually cost more to play there than Pinnacle.

    I always hear how sharp Pinnacle is and I have no reason to dispute it. My question is then...if they're are so sharp, why don't they hang lines earlier than they do? Bm, for one, is out hours before Pinnacle.

    Why? getting matched is better, but the lines are all there and then you just pay 1% (not 2%) no matter if you win or lose.
    So this line is better than Pinny's -104.

    Vegas lines are Garbarge and their for Square action ONLY.

    5 dimes has vegas beat by a mile let alone Pinny in the conversation.

    As far as taking more action per wager then Pinny, that is a Load of Crap Also. Only time if for a superbowl wager and you have to be a High profile in the media person to lay that off.
