Thats the most comical thing ever. Obviously there is connection to some fraud account probably a charge back issue or some fraud. They have right to refuse you like any business esp if security team flagged you...why else wouldn't they want your dead money

A couple of users speculated that it must be because they made a bitcoin deposit as their first deposit on a brand new Bookmaker account. But that doesn't make any sense, since that's what their business IS. Making everyone go through this process wouldn't be a great way to encourage betting on their platform, and we've never heard of such problems there anyways. User @carlmon says Bookmaker told them "our security filters caught something and your account is now under investigation". This rings truer to me, but what could that be?

I checked the actual transaction on blockchain and everything has gone through. They have the money. I think just having a new account with a bitcoin deposit could be a flag for them. Who knows, it's been two weeks and anytime I come into live chat to check in 72 hours per there request I get attitude. I don't holler at them just asking for a simple status update. Sucks but at the time it is what it is.

Since Coinbase frowns on gambling sites, is it possible that they had something to do with the transaction issue?

How would this come to be on a crypt transaction with an offshore? I'm struggling to imagine. If Coinbase had a problem with it, they could always prevent it....at the beginning.

As someone else has already stated, when casinos, banks, etc. have you under investigation, they don't tell you what it's for. Any information they provide suspected fraudsters would only serve to make them better fraudsters.

I'm not saying you definitely are one. I'm just saying that their behavior is completely rational if you step outside of yourself and view this from an outside perspective.

Being calm, cool, and collected is the best thing you can do in situations like this. In fact, I've found that it's the scammers who show up here who are the loudest and most obnoxious on average. They know they've been caught.

That most likely rules out bitcoin as the problem. I used CA for four years and never had an issue, until CA shut down my account. Look at it this way, it’s much better to have your account frozen now than when you are trying to withdraw. At the worst, you get your deposit back. If they froze it when you were trying to withdraw you could potentially lose winnings, and any prior deposits.

Its only AFTER u give them your cash, they either let u bet it and if you lose, u are free to deposit again, or there is a suspected multi account or wtf ever the issue might be. The industry is in dire need of a 3rd party escrow and player verification service where the bet fuds are sent to the book if the players bet loses or sent back to the player if the bet wins. No deposits until player is fully verified. Be no more of this holding funds hostage. Customers would also get more or less immediate responses to any "investigation" as the book would not have the funds to hold and they require funds to operate.
