When a check bounces isn't there a way for the check processing company to find that out? Why do you need to send them a letter from the bank. Sounds unreasonable.

That's pretty standard procedure, and yes a pain in the ass. And the bounced check has little to nothing to do with 5Dimes finances, it's either a rouge payment processor who took the money and ran or the U.S. government froze an account and stole it.

I would have gotten it sent to you in another way instead of paper check. That is the worst way to do it these days. Next time get it wired to you with one of their options that they have.
Hard to dispute what you are stating here.
However, I and other members on the board are having payout issues of a different sort with 5dimes.
For now, people need to stop and think if this is a mere coincidence. 5dimes has enjoyed a solid reputation for a while now.
5dimes nor any other business can exploit that reputation to start cutting corners or out right use deceptive practices. Not the first time this happened in the business world. Enron, anyone...? Keating and his sh!tstain business partners...? Just a few examples.
It's forums like this, in which the court of public opinion holds so much weight, that serves the purpose of keeping 5dimes and others straight.

I know that a good conspiracy theory trumps reality every day of the week, but fact is Jim's earlier posts included banking details and processing terms. He was asked to share his issue again without divulging those specific details.

I actually play at 5dimes but think their customer service is the worst in the industry (which i think most would agree). I also play at betislands and legends religiously
i'm sure he'll be here soon enough telling everyone how he's withdrawn the max via cheque and p2p twice a week for the last 3 years without a single processing problem.

Wow i got a check that should be coming in the mail sometime this week from them... I hope it doesn't bounce... this thread got me a little concerned it might so i talked to 1 of their customer and they said that rarely ever happens and that they always pay their customers.... i hope she was telling the truth
It has to do with the free monthly payout via wire transfer. I won't get into specifics because I'm still debating if I want to continue business with 5dimes or allocate my funds elsewhere.
Look, I understand the ramifications of saying something negative about any outfit. In other words, I did not just make that comment about 5dimes for the hell of it.

I was about to deposit one yesterday - held off hoping to hear that all is well and this processor's checks are not all bouncing.
I requested a check on the first of the month, free of charge, it arrived two days later. It was from a bank just outside of the US, deposited it and the funds cleared two weeks later. Still tough to beat 5D for US players.

Too much shit happens with checks. They bounce, banks question you, there is a paper trail... all bad
it's 2012 much easier and quicker ways to get your money without all that hassle
signing in, they lost or mishandled a $G payout and basically accused me of trying to take a shot at them, it was lower 3 figures too and I have been playing for years...I took the rest out a week later and will probably not deposit again...a+ my ass, just check out the BBB and see how their model works...reminds me of sbr...books pay for the rating :/
5 Dimes .... Most of the guys there are A-Holes their casino is a rip off but I still play there. When I get my payouts I use P2P and have never had a problem. I've been cussed told to screw myself etc etc but I have to admit even this is improving. The P2P payouts are as fast as any book. I wouldn't take a check from any book. I like to get in on Thursday and out on Monday. The web site is slow at times but if you use the mirror site it's alot smoother.

You need better luck, a new bank, and to pay your taxes. Many of us have no problem with this method. You use what you prefer, others will use what they prefer. A few days wait and no issues isn't a hassle to me.
