How does Bovada get an A rating with stuff like this?
I go to the website.
Den/SD is a PK O/u 48
I log in and the line is SD -1 O/U 47.5
I log back out the line moves back to a pick em O/U 48
No sweat for me as I want Denver...but stuff like this is a shady bait and switch. Why are you going to advertise one thing then change the line once you realize who your customer is?

Garbage rec book. They pulled the same shit with parlays. If you weren't logged in, you could preview correlated MMA parlays. You log in and they aren't allowed.
bovada is great if you're on the square lines
it can be good if you're on the sharp lines too, just have to comparison shop like anything else
They always juice dog lines on me hard. I just wait now for favs i like and play them there.
Only well known book that deals dual lines now that Heritage has seemed to straighten out. Dumb IMO because it just reduces action created.

same thing just happened to me. open site under 48 is -105. I log in they change it to -115. Log back out see that its back to -105. They see that I am usually an under backer and adjust the line approppriately.
Advertised as a pick em but when I log in its SD -1... Still a good book
Their sharp lines are usually still worth it.

Most books including Pinnacle will show you different lines on the homepage to when you log in, especially near game time. In most cases it's because they don't update static pages with a live feed.
Bovada knows a real rec player gets really mad when the team he wants is -115. They don't care about the half point or the market...they just want to back a team at -110 on whatever the line is. 4, 4.5 or 5.5, they don't really care. They also bet the favorite and the over more and pile on one side. Players who get the best of that and bet the dog get the market line. People get mad and think of it like a store that is inflated prices but really its the same margin either way. Its a blessin in disguise for players who know a half point matters...time to add more books with more lines, different set of promos and grab your bovada line when it suits you.

Bovada/Bodog has been doing this for a very long time.
Logged out they show the "square lines" but if you play some underdog sides they quickly put you on the other lineset.
sbr betting odds give different odds than when i login to books. does that mean they're giving out duel lines?
Bill, the different line sets are not just due to a lack of updates on static pages and you know it. They use profiling to deal different lines to different players at the same time, and it's been proven multiple times.
I'm not saying I have a problem with this- I still play there and I think that they're still the best dog book in the business. But the fact that SBR would attempt to deny or cover it up makes me a little worried.

Try betting 3rd/4th tier English soccer for 2 weeks and see what happens. They don't deal dual lines in those categories.
Limits went from $500 to $250 to $100 to $30 to $15 in a matter of days.
they deal one way lines on props. try to bet the good side and they move the line, try to bet the bad side and it goes through. thats worse than dual lines. same thing betus does.

What Bill says is right, i usually log into Pinny 2x so i can watch 2x dynamic lines, when i got lazy and updated manually without a 2nd log-in that wasn't up to date so basically worthless.
Then again, ofc Blowdog deals dual lines or even more rofl, you just need some other outs...and use them only for the weak lines which you should be able to identify fairly easy.
Bill's first paragraph is common sense, but it is not what posters actually complained about. Any posters using SBR live odds page know that only Bodog and Heritage, of all the books there, are doing something different. It is called dual lines. I will give Bill prop for coming up a positive to complainers - a blessing in disguise. Why I have not thought about that.
Pinnacle's website displays outdated odds to those not logged in, as I found out to my misfortune a few weeks ago thanks to SportsOptions.
I had been using them for a very long time as my 'market' source and now I find out Pinnacle website is almost worthless to me.
