Do Sportsbooks even care about their SBR rating?

I sort of get the feeling that most Sportsbooks could care less what kind of rating they get from SBR. Because if they did care... you would think they would come in here every now and then and start a thread that went something like:

Hello, I'm Joe Gamble and I'm CEO of Blankbook.eu. We here at Blankbook have very competitive lines and our customers are very important to us. We strive to be the very best Sporstbook that we possibly can. We value your opinion and we want to hear it. We want to know what you like about us as well as what you don't like about us. If there is anything you think we could improve on please let us know in this thread. This will be an on going thread as we continue to listen to your suggestions and strive for excellence. Thank you.

Sincerely, Joe Gamble CEO of Blankbook.

Has a thread like this ever been made by any Sportsbook in the history of SBR?

A lit of people dont know about sbr being the "sportsbook police" so to speak.
I know plenty whove been ripped off by offshores and didnt know wtf to do...
I guarauntee however, if/when you do bring up going to SBR about anything books get scurrrreddd. They know once sbr gets involved its a good chance they end up having to pay out. Plus, when you google "sportsbook reviews" or "whatever sportsbook review" sbr is the 1st link to show up

The more a book worries about their 'rating' or what is said about them on a web portal the MORE YOU NEED TO WORRY ABOUT THEM and your $$$ with them

Bottom line guys play at books that are rock solid financially

Rinky dink smalltime books, yes are good for bonuses and bad numbers but fukk does it matter if they wont pay? Or if they take 8 years to process a payout.

Tough for the americans to gamble with no fear... no Pinny greek matchbook. Just stick to the "big boy" books and youll be fine

Most of the uninitiated looking to gamble on sports on the internet are much more likely to google "sportsbook" than "sportsbook review". First link is a D- book.

how would creating that thread get them a better rating?

Several sportsbook owners have posted here, however.

Blackie, for example, who made his book look worse and worse.

I can see your point how a thread like that would be considered SPAM. And I agree.. most Sporstboobks don't want to hear our opinion. But I think this is a big mistake. It's also true that people would come up with impossible requests like you said... but what if the requests were limited to things that other Sportsbooks already do? For instance... at DSI... when playing Poker(I haven't played poker there in a very long time so I don't know if this is still true) when two people go All In they give the percent chances of each player winning. I really like this feature. If SBR added this feature to their Poker as well I think it would be great.

Now, if I'm the only person that likes this feature SBR would have no incentive to add it. But, if 95% of all the players liked this feature and SBR was now aware that most people liked this feature it would be a great incentive to add it. The same thing rings true with just about anything that a particular Sportsbook does when it comes to anything. There are certain things that I like about virtually every Sportsbook. If all the Sportsbooks were aware of what the customers actually like(and maybe some of them are but most definitely are not) I think everyone would be better off.

Great point. It wouldn't necessarily give them a better rating just for creating the thread. But if they created a thread and listened to customer feedback and continued to improve things based on customer suggestions I think it could only be a good thing for that particular Sportsbook as well as everyone here at SBR.

Only 10% of people who bet offshore read gambling forums. Offshore books couldn't give 2 shits less what their rating is.

Except for those that advertise on their website that they have a certain SBR rating when they don't. Never really got the point of doing that as they all get found out anyway.

Point is they pay and every sbr user can get down their bets hassle/worry free about getting stiffed. Sure they may not take 20-50K wagers over & over on the same market but so what? Play at those books posted above and you wont ever have to worry about an sbr rating

No one on here is betting 5 figures or even well into 4 figures several times a day that really needs to worry that much. In the end, only 1 thing matters about a book, pay or no pay....nothing else matters if your money is stuck.

I've had SBR complaints in twice, both for mid four figures. The first book leapt like a jackrabbit when SBR came calling, and paid up instantly. The second was a bit grumpier, not such a good relationship with SBR, but then paid.

Some clearly don't care, but a lot do. It's probably true few punters check SBR ratings, but those do feed into a wider perception of the book.

I think they have to as SBR is really good at SEO. If you google any book by name, their report comes up on the first page of search results.

Not their number one concern, but I am sure they care.

Exactly... couldnt agree more. This is more recent though then in years past. SBR has become a bit of a gorilla over the last couple years when it comes to overall reputation, website traffic and ability to interface with actual upper management at solid services and to get them to respond... IMHO though I think SBR rankings and overall posters content is important at some level to almost every services management especially those that face the US.

Back in the old days, like 5 years ago, books did not care much about retention. They would just advertise heavily with offline advertising like mailings and radio. Many didn't care about their rating because player due diligence wasn't that good and they were marketing machines. Nowdays players are more cautious and google a book before sending money and books market less and focus on retention. Those shifts have made their SBR rating more important.

    SBR Ratings are very important

Books need to do the right thing or we can make things very difficult for you

Any books want to discuss you can call myself, Shari or John Walker and we can work something out if the numbers are correct and your outfit meets our standards.

If Walker gives me an order to "check a book out" I do

If Walker says "JJ call them out"..I do

Sometimes we call out books only because we want them to conform with SBR guidelines and do the right thing

    its real simple procedure

Crazy thing is how many 'no's' are there that SBR dishes out?

You don't even see half of them because you're a big wig...But us twerps get so many every week... a girl like a month ago offered me 5k if I'd write an article about her book because she knew it'd get #1 or #2 on Google. Yeah she most likely wouldn't have paid and yeah I don't even write the wires but it's crazy to think people even know to try to bribe.

Now that you're in the Aussie, Asian, Euro market... you are a massive get for anyone out there - book, forum, sharp looking for info.

Best thing we ever did was start talking how long ago xo
