Which Costa Rican books are solid?

    Bet CRIS
    5 Dimes

    Any others?

And how many books are there in Costa Rica?
I'm guessing that 99% of them are sh*tbooks, very risky to gamble with such books.

Think of all the Costa Rica 'forum books' that have gone down the drain. I've been gone for many years but some that I remember are: Beverly Hills Bookie, Gamblers Avenue, Bet Cascade, VWager, etc...

Depends what you mean by good.

5Dimes - Good odds, options, has more risk tolerance than many books but does limit (Is mostly a site for under $1K per bet) does pay fast.

Bookmaker - not scared to take a bet, good limits, great history, but doesn't have the promos, bonuses the sites that kick winners offer. A ton of nickel and diming - but has a fair product.

From here again depends what consider good. Justbet I consider good though some others wouldn't. They turn off the casino when someone starts betting $100 per hand and doesn't matter if they're up or down. They have daily limits and manage their risk well (a good part of that is slashing limits for winners). Lot of players start with $500 per game max bet and are quick to get cut to $300 or $200, then will get cut more to $100, $50 or $25. Whatever they'll give though they will pay on and no problems there. Also when complaints or issues pop up on forums, they have a rep quick to get them worked out. So again what do you define as good? By comparison to what's out there this is good, but not worth it to many.

Personally the only Costa Rica books I use somewhat regularly are Bookmaker and 5Dimes. The first for 5-7 bets an NFL season, and 1 or 2 NBA teasers per year. 5Dimes despite small limits do use them for future bets and season long props. Most the rest won't be worth the time for very long to anyone serious.

DSI is almost a mini-version of Bookmaker. Random line difference and much smaller limits, but everything else the two sites are basically the same. Small limit players in the US might want to keep both.

DSI was always solid back in the day.

You guys know that when I first started playing there, Robby M. was there. He went on to open up Apex and some other book(s), I can't remember what they were called. The guy did not have a good reputation after awhile.

What about Bet Rio? Did they go under? Hollywood Sportsbook was also considered good back then. They had a guy named Will who was super nice guy but I think he left.
