William Hill confiscated my funds of nearly 3k for trying to double up on roulette..

I am a new user today, hope I can get the advice I need.

I am a long standing customer of William Hill and have had trouble free service and reasonable customer service throughout.

However after a break of some weeks I tried logging on, however it stated that my account had either been closed or suspended. I had a balance of around £2,700 in it so I was immediately concerned.

I rang their call centre to be told that my account had been permanently closed due to suspicious betting patterns using their "Casino product". I asked for clarity of when this had supposed to have happened but they refused to discuss it and would not let me speak to a superior. I tried again several times however they disconnected the calls after telling me to refer to the terms and conditions.

I emailed them and this was their only reply (it is not word for word as I am using a tablet and find it awkward to copy and paste):

"...participating in betting strategies that we deem abusive. For security reasons we are not in a position to provide our reason(s).

From time to time we reserve the right to review our clients transactions and as such and in accordance with our terms and conditions, your account has been closed and all funds will remain in it. We can confirm that you will not receive any payments in lieu of returns or deposits.

In regards to an appeal, for the avoidance of doubt we will not be reviewing the situation.

Please be advised that this decision is final and we will no longer enter into into any correspondence in relation to this matter.

    Regards,

    ..."

True to what they said they have not responded to my next emails and calls are terminated as soon as I give my username.

Basically I am a respected tennis coach and make fairly big wagers on the sport. Occasionally I bet small amounts in their casino. The last time I played I kept tried to double up 5 or 6 times after I lost betting on black on roulette. I only won my stakes back + £20 in the end but it appears they are referring to that. I was under the impression that trying to double up on roulette was not illegal.

Anyway, I really do need the balance on my account back. I was never going to spend all of it and just let it remain in there until I needed it for my holiday in November.

I really have no clue what to do and have been told that I cannot use IBAS as they do not offer resolutions for casino wagers and I cannot afford to take legal action.

It is making me lose sleep but I am remaining positive that I can get my money back in time for my holiday or it looks like I will not be able to go.

    Thank you.

Fill out a complaint. There is a link at the bottom of my post. We work well with William Hill, and I am confident you will be treated fairly in this.

Is there something in the OP that makes you think this is the case?

If I ran a casino book, I would advertise "Martingale customers are welcomed with open arms!"

I agree, there seems to be more to it then the OP is letting on. But if not, then lets hope SBR get his balance back.

I think that would be clear sign even for stupid ones that martingale doesnt work...Low profile keeps the myth alive.
