To those who received the $50 BetOnline freeplay, did you have a balance?

The reason I am asking is because for someone with a substantial BOL balance, it makes zero sense to get the freeplay since they make you deposit $50 before cashing out. I called regarding this and was told on the phone I should not have gotten it and took it out of my account.

It DOES make sense for those with a 0 balance, but seems odd to give it to players with a balance and require a $50 deposit before withdrawing. Anyone else with a balance get the freeplay? Or was it mostly players with a 0 balance?

One thing to add - More than anything I'm concerned with fact they seem to be pulling out all the stops to get any possible deposit they can. I have NEVER seen a freeplay offer that requires an ADDITIONAL deposit (after the freeplay has been used) before cashing out.

    I've seen this move before.
It's a slick way of giving you a deposit match freeplay bonus, but in the reverse order.

I wanted to get it crystal clear that the roll is $300 (6 x $50).

I was assured would be the case, so if it isn't , watch out! :-/)

Spot on. Don't be surprised when, if you run that FP up to a significant amount, BOL denies you the opportunity to make the mandatory $50 deposit--insisting it should have been made before betting the FP. BOL has set this up with a built-in excuse to not pay potential winners.

I contacted Live Help twice, spoke to 2 different reps, to get everything clarified and got emails of the chat transcripts just in case. We'll see what they say once the 6X roll is completed.

I got one email yesterday with one set of rules (6X rollover). I got another one today with a different set of rules (10X rollover). I sent them an email asking them about it. Waiting to hear back. Will keep you informed if I do.

    S. Francis,

    The rules changed since yesterday?

Yesterday, I get an email from you guys and these were the rules at the bottom of it:
*Terms and conditions: 1. This promotion is by invitation only and is non-transferable. 2. There is a 6x (six times) rollover requirement associated with this promotion. 3. The $50.00 free play must be used by Thursday, August 30th, 2012 at 11:59 pm (ET). 4. A deposit of at least $50.00 must be made in order to make a withdraw. 6. BetOnline reserves the right to modify or discontinue this promotion at their discretion. 7. Standard terms and conditions apply to all bonuses, please see website Rules for details.

Today, I get the same free play email and now the rules have changed less than 24 hours later?

*Terms and conditions: 1. A minimum deposit of $50 is required to qualify for this free play bonus. 2. The maximum bonus is $900.00. 3. There is a 10x (ten time) rollover requirement associated with this bonus. 4. In order to receive this bonus you must use the promocode “FREE50” in the cashier while making your deposit. 5. This promotion is by invitation only and non-transferrable. 6. BetOnline reserves the right to modify or discontinue this promotion at their discretion. 7. Standard terms and conditions apply to all bonuses, please see website Rules for details. 8. This offer is valid only once per account. 9. This promotion cannot be combined with any other offer. 10. No withdrawal can be made for 30 days after the bonus has been credited to your account.

Yesterday, there was nothing about a max bonus...and the roll over was 6X, not the 10X that's in today's email.

What's up with that guys? You guys have a B+ rating on SBR...

I'm hoping the difference is the fact the $50 freeplay is different from the 50% deposit bonus. Curious what they say though.

Doc JS...are you aware these are 2 different offers? One is a 50 dollar freeplay. The other is a 50% freeplay offer on your deposit.

I won $91 on my $50 freeplay and ran it upto $900 in the casino(which is allowed) would have had roll over covered for sure. I went back and blew it. I may have saved myself a headache in collecting.

I spent the $50 free play on a couple long shot tennis shots at the US Open did not win. Also got the 50% free play offer for a deposit. Have not put any money into this book in months since people started complaining about payouts and other things. I always liked their options, so it's a shame that they're such a mess from the sounds of it because otherwise they might be a nice option to use.
