    complaint against Lowvig/betonline - scam?

This is betonline, as we all know.

Lowvig website has a * option, which will give a name and city. After sending in the money through * I went back to the website to complete phase 2 with the confirmation # number. Problem number 1. After sending the money, the website didn't allow me to go to phase 2. Instead I got to a page with a nonsensical message and the suggestion to call them to complete the process by phone. Problem number 2. They don't have a phone number. Which business doesn't have a phone number?!?!

So I call betonline. At first they act like they're separate from Lowvig. I don't know why they go through this act, but when pressed, as in this case, they handle business for Lowvig. At the end of the phone conversation I was told the money would be in my Lowvig account in 15 minutes. That was over an hour ago. All they need to complete the transaction is the confirmation # number. Give that to any book and the money is in the account in minutes.

I called betonline again. On and on, round and round we go. Now, after being on hold for another 15 minutes, betonline, after discussing the matter with me and repeatedly mentioning Lowvig in the conversation, -after the previous BOL agent already said the money would be in the Lowvig account in 15 minutes-, now... 'Sissy' comes back, thanks me for waiting and tells me that I have to deal with 'my other sportsbook'. They wipe their hands from this, and at this point I consider this theft by Lowvig/betonline. There is nothing I can do, because Lowvig has no phone number.

Amazing. File a complaint at this forum, and suddenly the money is in the account. Absurd, really.

I get emails from BOL regularly with their advertising spiel. Once in a while I read them if I have the time. Anyway, I have noticed they sometimes list my account number at the top. I hadn't noticed it until recently but they have my Lowvig number there instead of my BOL number. Yet they aren't related supposedly.

At least you know if it is related to BOL, you have a better chance of having problems resolved with Lous's help here.

The lack of a phone number at any Book should have raised red flags. It did for me, so I passed on LowVig. If you're lucky enough to win, you'll have to go thru this BS all over again for a payout.

I don't know what their problem is, but they are betonline, and betonline just purchased sportbetting, so they should have the finances. I have never seen a book act so weird about a turnkey, but if they're trying to pass on internal friction to the player the onus should be on betonline; they're the ones with the financial clout. BOL agents tend to be helpful about lowvig until they talk to a manager and come back with the official, political party line. Betonline has slow payouts for checks, but not for p2p, so lowvig should be the same. With football season around the corner, let's see if lowvig picks up the slack. Betonline can't keep up this act, and I have no doubt that SBR sportsbook complaints directed at lowvig will end up on a betonline desk.

Thanks for the report Dark Horse. Guess I'll steer clear of LowVig. I still have an iffy feeling about BOL but I guess they've been around long enough that I'll deposit their next CBB season--they did put up the openers and I assume those weren't just show numbers.
