I'm confident they will pay if it's up to them. Little nervous, because there is always the possibility of the U.S overstepping their boundaries. Would be a nightmare if something like that happened when I was in the midst of such a tremendous payout (for me anyway)

I never withdraw that much because once you hit $10,000 and try and deposit with your bank, you run into a lot of questions.
Not if you pay your taxes correctly.

I work at a Credit Union. With any cash transactions (deposits or withdrawals) that total more than $10k within 24 hours, all financial institutions are required by the government to fill out a Currency Transaction Report. I believe this is intended to help law enforcement detect money laundering if a person continually does this. Legally, there isn't an amount of checks that brings up a red flag, your bank/CU may put a hold on the check when it's deposited, but that's just to allow it to clear. Your bank/CU doesn't care and isn't liable if it's something you're supposed to pay taxes on and "forgot" to write it in. I supposed financials could handle these situations differently, but I'd be shocked if they did. They don't have time to babysit accounts and it's nothing they're liable for. So CB, I wouldn't worry about running into any problems with it.
