Multiple Account Issue - Please Advise

I know this won't sit well with a lot of folks here, but the truth is that I am a compulsive gambler and have recently come to realize that I can't gamble responsibly anymore. I've done some not so nice things along the way and in trying to stop the bleeding I've decided to close my sportsbook accounts.

Here's where I have a question I hope someone can answer. I had a long standing account with 5Dimes and recently opened two more accounts with them under family member names and CCs. Needless to say this caused a huge problem for me personally and now I just want to know if I report this activity to 5Dimes, would they be willing to refund the deposits on my 2nd and 3rd accounts so that no chargebacks have to be filed with incident reports through the CC companies? I know sportsbooks nullify winnings and refund deposits on multiple accounts, but because I lost the money I'm afraid they'll just keep it and close my accounts anyway. It's only a few hundred dollars which I know they can spare (especially since I lost over $8,000 with them before this mess), but I guess its the principle of the point. Can anyone tell me what would happen in this case? Thanks for your time.

Can we assume that you received bonuses on those extra accounts? And now you want the money back that you lost? It is really understanding of you to opine that since it is only a few hundred dollars that 5dimes should be able to spare such a paltry sum. You, on the other hand, do not seem to consider it "paltry" since you are now willing to cheat 5dimes out of it! So, first you defraud the book. Now you want to cheat them by using a **********. You say you have learned your lesson and want to quit, but you want 5dimes to pay for your lessons? Why don't you man-up and take responsibility for your actions?

My point is that I did make multiple accounts without authorization by the people whose names and CCs I used. They are going to file fraud complaints as it is unless 5Dimes would be willing to refund those amounts. I know for sure if I had won any amount with those deposits, or just broke even, that they would close the account and refund the money. But because I lost does that give them the right to keep it anyway?

if you know if you won they wouldnt give you the money then why would you even deposit?

So because you committed CC fraud 5 dimes should have to pay it back?

Since the money is paltry why dont you pay back the money you stole from your family

So by your logic i go to my fathers house today steal my dads card and spend 200 on it at yankee stadium. Then my father finds out and its the Yankees fault and they should pay it back? just cuz 200 is nothing to the yankees your saying they are reponsible for my stupidity

cmon man up and face the consequences

once again its because of people like you its such a pain in the ass to play offshore for us americans

I don't consider it paltry money at all. I'm broke, unemployed, and was not thinking rationally when I made the other accounts. I have a severe gambling problem and am just looking for feedback. I understand that people don't agree with me and I respect that. I do take responsibility for my actions, but I have to explore every avenue here. My only argument remains that gambled money based on fraud shouldn't be kept by the book. Surprisingly most people disagree with that.

what i dont understand is YOU knew if you won they wouldnt pay you so why did you deposit?

you still committed fraud. Regardless if 5 dimes gives you the $ back you know your family is gonna get it back by doing a CB

Im sure if i did that to my father he would call the police and press charges to teach me a lesson

What you should do is get a job stop gambling and pay the money back yourself. It was probably your parents you stole the money from. So prove to them you made a mistake and you are a man and willing to rectify it.
Hell get a job at Burger King and give them your paycheck everyweek til its paid in full. Or sell some stuff on Craigslist to help pay it back.

Your never gonna be trusted again unless you take the steps to own up to your actions and rectify the situation.

By your parents bailing you out, you will never learn your lesson.
Not trying to be a dick here. but just stating it as it is

but your the one who knowingly committed fraud. Its not like some Joe schmo stole the CCs and did this. You did it to your own family.

Cory...is this your ghost? Regardless, OP should just go to 5D's live chat and ask for Tony. He's an open-minded guy and will get this matter resolved fairly.

PS Please promise to post the live chat here.

So you committed a crime, and now you think that you deserve to get away with it lightly by just reversing everything ?

What would you do if some punk broke into your house, stole some of your things and got caught trying to sell them to pay for his drug addiction, and when caught just said "I'm sorry, here is all your stuff back, how about we just call it evens."

Ask yourself honestly if you would just say "It's ok kind sir, thanks for my stuff back, have a nice day" or whether you would press charges against the scumbag that stole from you.

Guess what, in the scenario you described...you are the punk scumbag and should count yourself very lucky that your family aren't pressing charges, so why should you just get off lightly.

Apologise to them, tell them not to **********, and you make sure that you make this right properly by paying back every cent that you owe them...

Pay them with your own money and maybe they will cancel the transactions though.

You know if your friends / family claim CC fraud and the cards / authorities trace the use to you and your family IP you can be arrested.. CC fraud is not a joke.

If you are the person of this guy he stole from you sure the hell are going to call the CC company right? If your son stole say $500 on your CC or heck maybe you don't know who stole it but you have a $500 charge you don't recognize you are going to seek to get it back.
