    Hi, my name is Dom, I tried to create a name under my own name, to voice my complaint, in case someone would accuse me of using an alias, but the board said I cant sign up twice or somethng.

    Anyway, Ive been looking for a good book for a while. The greek was great, bodog was ok, betphoenix was laughable.

    But I saw some favorable threads about betislands and tried it yesterday. I signed up and got killed in their casino,
    I had deposited to get money in for the NBA game. Well the first deposit was gone in a few short minutes after a bad run in their casino. So im like well damn, the game starts in an hour and now I have zero.

    I enquire about a bonus to customer service, and they give me this routine about needing to ask for the bonus before hand. I get it, in order to get a bonus it has to be rolled over. but im like jesus i just signed up first time, cold turkey to a book I never knew before, and Im getting snobbery already.

    Well, after much talking one customer service agent offers a 150% casino bonus, with the ungodly 50 time rollover attached, remember i had just lost my entire deposit in the same casino, not rolling it over once. now I have to rollover not only the bonus amount, but the deposit amount which was already lost, which is an incomplete bonus really.

    Well the fortunes hadnt changed and that too was gone shortly, I then asked about a free play for sports, being I didnt have much time to play nba, the manager there, was adament and would not do it. Claiming that "we already gave u a bonus we dont normally give"

    well, I signed up via chat, the person taking my info was all nice and cordial as any business should be, but they never mentioned about the bonus. It's THE PLAYERS job to read all the fine print and know if they get one. But seriously, the customer service signing me up and giving me details to send money, should also say "and btw u get a bonus with this, and this is it", they did not.

    So the guy sending the money and paying fees to do it, gets the short end and has to fight for a bonus.

    Interestingly, I wasnt a customer but a couple of hours, and the next agent I spoke with informed me that there were notes in my account. Im like Jesus Christ, Im already on a shit list, even though im a new customer.

    Now granted im no vegas whale, and I guess the business means shit to them, but so should a bonus.

    Anyway, I send again the same night, just because I figured Id show some allegiance to them after they did they HUGE favor of giving what i was supposed to get.

    I did well on sports and lost again in the casino.

    This morning I speak with the same cordial cs rep, and regardless of any hassle or any bad runs or any bullshit, he wasnt going to do anything for me, prolly went through 7 or 8 hundred after winning it in sportsbook.

    The question really is, do books REALLY give a shit about our businesss? Where they try to hide bonuses and not give people a welcome. There are hundreds of books, I could have gone anywhere for my second deposit but I decided to stay there.

    This morning he gives me this bit about We've done alot for you(I was a customer one night) and if you feel we didnt, go somewhere else. They dont say these things before you send, or while your on your way to send, they say that after you have lost, and they have your money.

    I also think there is a safety net, knowing they are in costa rica gives them distance muscles.

    But If I call the phone company and have a complaint, they dont tell me well sir if you are not happy with our service I suggest you go to another. They dont do that, why should any customer servie team give answers like that, especially to somebody new.

    But either u want the small players money or you dont, dont blow off their business because they didnt wire u 50 k

    Arent books graded on customer service. how did this place get a B?

    Thanks for sharing. It's usually up to the player to claim a bonus. Asking for that second freeplay after the casino one may have been expecting too much if it's one per?

    Many who play at BI report positive dealings with their CS. And have never seen a complaint about payouts. BI racebook needs some work, but overall seems like a solid out.

    Hi Dom,

    I hope all is well after reading through your post I still do not see were Betislands mistreated you or did not give you fair treatment. I just now saw your email I apologize if you had a cold streak in the casino but we are not offering any no deposit freeplays at the time.

    We ask from our clients that they must choose if they want a bonus on their deposit at the time of adding the funds in the account this is to avoid any misunderstandings in the future with rollovers this is a standard policy at several books and I do not see how this is unfair for the client.

    Betislands actually goes the extra mile for clients and people that play with us can confirm this , but coming on this forum posting how we do not care about our business after you emailed me asking for compensation or free bonuses after you lost your deposits that you were awarded the bonuses you chose is not the best way to portray the situation.

    Maybe.

    Well, The first bonus had to be forced out of them, and it wasnt a full bonus amount, but still had to be rollover.

    And the answer is not even the tough part to swallow it/s the attitude. They wouldnt talk to u like that if they were standing in front of u.

    But is it customer service job to mention bonuses, or hide them?

    I still do not understand what your complaint is?

    The customer service rep informed you about bonuses and our rules as you being a new client we do not wish to keep anyone in the dark about our house procedures.

    This does not mean you were not given fair treatment , on the contrary this should speak highly of our CS and how we inform new clients of our rules.

    well the facts are, she did not mention a bonus at all, at the time when it's supposed to be asked for. When she signed me up, there was nothing about the bonus, if u want to post the chat box, and be honest about it, lets have a look at it.

    I was informed about bonuses, after I had lost and asked for one, which was there/your way of saying send more money and will give you abonus next time. What if there is no next time.

    She extolled the virtues of a wonderous 20% monthly rebate after the fact. which I could be dead in a month and never see that, or I could miss the entire NBA playoffs waiting for this miracle 20% rebate per month, which every book gives, usually they give one once a week.

    The complaint is the customer service is not personable, and your manager guy has an arrogant stance of "go somewhere else" yeah, if they pass a bill in the states, everybody will be going somewhere else.

    Just wondered what a new customer is worth to you, evidently, not a whole lot. Sorry I signed up

    no, i informed the manager guy that I was going here to talk about his attitude. Ill be at a new book before first pitch tonight however.

    But others have made great careers of being mind readers who didnt know what they hell they were talking about. So you may have found your calling. Maybe u could join a team of sports handicappers, and predict games. Your winning percentage is right up there with them.

    Wow, step by step method, of how cuse pulls his stunts at various books, Exactly how many times have you done this? only a seasoned pro would know how to do this.

    I know you didnt get the tips from me, if you were reading and not reacting. I know about bonuses, I know how they work, but I also know books who want to take care of a customer especially a new one.

    Again, the complaint is the attitude, What is the point of having a forum if people who like it are going to challenge the challenger.

    Is it a little brown nosing so if the time comes, u might get a little comp?

    In any event, "Jon" was supposedly at a meeting all day according to cs sources, I was told to email him, and never got a response, which is why I ended up with plastic arms guy.

    A guy seemingly so busy has all day to spend on sbr. If anybody is ever told to email him, and they get no response, they can find him here.

    See, he responds here because he has to, people are knowing. Nobody knows when he gets an email.

    I sign up yesterday with them and I think cs was pretty Good. They offered me the bonus but I didnt take it dont like the rollover thing besides I only play on there racebook

    betislands has lost a bit jon has took on to much responsibility. Im an affiliate over there and have been hearing the run around for a while since the change over that it will be back up. It has been over 80 days......He doesn't answer my emails directly. He has bit off more then he can chew and makes deadlines to get things done that he doesnt get done. They still payout fast but this looks to me a lot like what happen at betphoenix was a solid book then turned to shit. (that is jons old place)

    How are they getting worse everyday? If they gave you a fp for identifying an error would they be getting worse everyday? Many books make errors. Funny what a free play could do to quall the critics.
