I would suggest that everyone who plays at Sportsbook.com opt for the wire method. Their check payouts have been increasingly bad even for them.

You know, I've thought about this, but I feel apprehensve about sending my banking info to a business off shore.

I am in a battle with them now.. I received my checks totaling 7400 back in febuary.. My bank called I verify the checks validitiy and found out all were fraudulent. Then they closed my account due to trying to cash fraudlent checks. I tell sportsbook.com and they tell me to send copies of the check which I have now about 10 times.. Then I get a email stating they need the legal copies.. Well WTF I have the legal copies.. Then they state if I send in the letter from my bank which I did and still I get the same response "we need the legal copies" I explained to them that my bank didn't even deposit the checks due to them being fraudulent. I am still battling with them to pay me.. Any ideas on how to get them to pay up?

boddhissatv, its fine they are not in the busines of stealing your money. Also just becuase someone has your bank info doesn't mean they can take money out of your account. They can only put it in...don't worry about it or if you are so concerned just open another account for wires only.

Yeah, maybe I'm just being paranoid.

I went through a scenario where an ex-girlfriend continued to "withdraw" from my account over the course of a year.

Either way, my check has been "sent" via courier. I will keep you guys posted regarding how long it takes and if it bounces or not.

Another funny thing is that they call it a "cashier's check." Aren't these pretty much the equivalent of a ***********? I wonder how these things bounce. And why would a multi million dollar company issue checks that would bounce? Isn't that terrible for business?

They pay faster then the "A" rated books on this site...Just don't request checks and you will be fine. Checks are an an issue with any shop use my wallet is just fine pay with 24-48 hours. There lines are the best on the planet if you know what your doing.

no joke, they had major issues months ago with payment but they did pay everyone I'm sorry there has been NOBODY that has not been paid unless they do things that are shaddy. Play by the rules and you will get paid USE MY WALLET or Bank wires (sportsbetting) No problems free payouts and actually they pay faster then 5 dimes and bookmaker and they don't charge. Also there lines are MUCH better if you have a brain. If you are square forget about it NO shot.

I just requested a check on April 16. I have received checks before but usually took around 10 weeks. Lets hope this one is quicker.

After reading about sportsbook I opened a new account at greek. I never knew that sportsbook was so bad but I had them when i had neteller and back then they were ok. But recently to have people wait 10 weeks for a check is ridiculus. I just hope the greek withdrawals are better.

As I indicated in my original post, I didn't know about this website or Sportsbook.com's history of withdrawal trouble.

Right now, I'm still waiting on my check which was requested last week.

Judging by the speed of delivery and whether or not the check clears will prove to be the deciding factor of whether or not I stay with this book.

5 days is longer then it takes sportsbook.com. People just refuse to give them credit. I requested a check last monday from 5 dimes (I had to wait until monday for it to be free) 2500 max. I requested use my wallet on wednesday for 5500 from sportsbook.co (free any day) I got my frunds quicker from sportsbook.com....friday am vs friday. I still have to go to the bank and wait for these funds to clear......

as for te guy requesting a check from them....that is a whole other game that IS NOT A GOOD OPTION. this is where people really have problems with this shop.

I understand your concern, but I think even the worst of the offshore scams are no threat to start stealing identities. Those places would just open up under a new URL and steal your deposit.

As far as processing goes though, players looking to avoid the bounced check dramatics should probably consider alternate w/d options.

Yeah...I might just open a separate bank account for the sole purpose of wire transfers.

Sportsbook indicated that they sent the check on the 16th of April. The customer service agent told me it will take about 10-15 business days for delivery.

They are checks cut from an account from any well known bank. Once that bank finds out what they are for they cut off that acct. So you have a check that bounces. Its not the books fault its our governments issue with the offshore industry. It happens to bookmaker/5dimes all of the shops. These places want to pay but its not as easy as you think.....

If you ever got a rebate check that is what these look like....

No one sends money orders or cashier's checks. They're just regular checks. English is quite a difficult language for them.

no sometimes days months it all depends. Wire would have been the way to go bro. but you will get your check don't listen to these people they are not telling the truth. The place is fine THEY do pay and are better then most books at this point.

I would suggest that if you see the check is cut from a bank that has a branch near you to GO TO THAT BANK and draw the funds directly from them. Many times it could be any number of the banks that the government gave TARP money to so they very well may have a branch near you....then again it could be bank of Alaska but in the end you will be paid...

I'm not really sure if I should get into the exact specifics as my information is quite shady at best (UPS Brokerage call when I just woke up. And some mildly retarded CS from Bookmaker insisting I "Should not worry"). But it is not really a good thing and can only mean more time my money is in limbo and more hassles for me to deal with.

I received my check today for $1100. I requested it 4/16/09. That's 6 days it took...faster than I expected.

I'm going to try and cash it, or deposit it into my account. I will let you know if the check clears or not.

just a heads up if you can cash the check its better. I have had checks bounce over a week after it cleared my bank....they come after you for the funds. It all gets worked out but its a headache
