    Acceptable I.D. for BetOnline

    Hi guys

Newbie here looking for advice. I opened a BetOnline Account over the past weekend. Made some bets. Won some Money. Having met all my rollover requirements, I requested a payout via a book - to - book transfer to Legends.

Yesterday they posted a message on the site that my transaction was cancelled because I had not provided sufficient I.D. I had provided them a Bank Statement and front/back copy of my drivers license
    - both with my address on. What more would they need? I write to them and it takes them forever to reply and when they do it is barely understandable english. They are never clear on exactly what I need to provide and there is no clear indication on the website.

They also said that I needed to make two other withdrawals by another means before being eligible for book to book. However, their own website says you have to make two deposits not withdrawals by another means. I have already done that. Are they just avoiding paying me? What are other's experiences with Betonline like. I've been there less than a week and they have already destroyed my trust in them. Not to mention yesterday's episode where I suddenly get an email telling me my account and all my money have been tramnsferred to a new .ag domain without any prior advice or statement on their website. I mean, way to make ytour customers feel secure?? Are Betonline really as crap as they seem? I'm used to Australian sportsbooks, which are legal, regulated by the government, and treat their customers with promptness, respect and transparancy. I gather this is not the case with places like this.

Could someone here please give me a clear indication as to what they will accept for I.D. I have an Australian License & Passport, CC & Bank Statements, and Birth & Marriage Certificates. I don't have any utility bills as they are in my wife's name (to make sure they get paid on time - lol).

thanks for any help or advice

Sorry - I also wanted to ask what people would suggest to get the payout. I deposited through Skrill (MoneyBookers) and Neteller. Would it be easier to get hold of the money that way than with a book2book/

    Thanks again.

Personally, I have recently had some issues with them about manipulating my rollover requirement and rollover credit to prevent me from getting a payout from their site. My best advice to you is to send them another email asking for some definitive information on what ID you must submit to them in order to make this book to book transfer or you will be forced to file a complaint with this site. I cannot tell you how helpful sportsbookreview.com was in getting my issue with betonline.com resolved. I think betonline.com really does want to maintain a good name on this site and will work to resolve any issue once SBR gets involved. At least it worked for me. Cannot thank the SBR guys enough for helping me out.

Thanks for that. I have already asked for a definitive list of what the yaccept for I.d. But no response yet. How would I go about lodging a complaint with SBR? Do you think it would help if I told them I was going to complain to SBR? It is interesting that you say they'll react to SBR because the only reason I trusted them to begin with was their review on here. I regret that decision now.

What do you think about a Neteller or Skrill payout - would that be easier given that is how I deposited?

That would be easier. The thing is like I mentioned above, SBR gives them a B+ because of situations like I experienced. Yeah, you might experience a problem with betonline.com and they might be very hard to deal with, but as soon as you get an SBR involved they will choose to do the right thing over having their rating hurt with this site.

I would try the one last chance type email with them first because it would just be SO MUCH quicker to do the book to book. Good luck with this and I wish you all the best.

    Hi WIDOWSON -

BetOnline as a rule listed on their site stating that:
Your payout will be processed using the same method used for deposit if the option is available.

Because you've never deposited via Book2Book, you're now running into a bit of trouble. As far as the utility bill requirement, I actually ran into the same trouble when I first moved here to Australia, trying to verify at an Aussie book. All of my bills were listed in my employer's name as they transferred me here. I actually had to go out and jump on a mobile plan that I didn't need just to meet that requirement.

If you're adamant about trying to transfer your money to Legends, I'd take ajcobb's advice and send them another email, again explaining your situation to see if they'll accept something else to prove you actually live at your residence. Unfortunately a driver's licence and bank statement don't usually cut it - just as they don't here in Australia - because those are used to verify other aspects of your identity (ie that you're a resident here, are of legal age and are the account holder of your funding source). It seems a bit silly but unfortunately that's just the way it is. As far as the change of domain name, that's become quite standard now with offshore books as a precautionary measure and is actually a really positive step when a sportsbook makes that move.

If all else fails, submit a complaint to SBR but honestly I'd just request your money back to Skrill or Neteller and be done with it instead of prolonging the process. Good luck and keep us updated with how you go!

they can rarely pay via NT or MB so this rule doesn't apply. that doesn't leave the op with a lot of options to hit the 2 other wd methods first either.

thanks for the response Shari, I have in fact already requested a neteller payout and we'll see how it goes... I'm not sure you're on any of the same Australian sportsbooks as I am though. And I'm on all the 8 or so major ones (CentreBet, Sportsbet, Luxbet, Sportingbet etc etc). Not a single one of these has ever asked me for more than a drivers license and a bank statement, so they do in fact well and truly cut it in Australia.. They are happy to accept them because both of those items have an address on. The bank statement isn't used to check a funding source. In my case, none of the acccounts are funded from that source. It is used only as a second institutionally issued check on residential address (as per the 100 point I.d. check system used in Australia). I suspect the reason you had to sign up for an unwanted mobile plan may have been because at that time all your bank accounts / driver's license had an overseas address on them too (and passports carry no address)?

What a bunch of scumbags bet online is...funny they take your money with no issues but then they wanna make it like pulling teeth to get your own cash back...any book that has these shenanigans is pathetic....only time a book should ever ask for I'd is if you used a cc...then maybe I could see their point....tell the jack off illiterate pricks from bet online to send you a copy of their I'd...

    Hi durito,

If you personally have a current complaint on BetOnline, speak up, no need for vague misinformation. The lone complaint we had on file from a MB player was resolved today.

BTW, not aware of another book in Panama that gives $8,000 per transaction via MB within 36 hrs. BetOnline (SBR B+) isn't Pinnacle, no doubt....but they put up opinionated #s at times and offer good bonuses, rarely outright limiting a player; which is why "sharps" flock to them in the 1st place.

Lou seriously you should reach out to bet online and explain to em they are only hurting themselves by doing business this way....books should pay you lightning quick to keep your business since 99% of players will just blow it all back in the long run...that's no secret....all these betonline complaints...are they just retarded?

I think the difference is that you're from here whereas I'm not. I have to present 3 each time. I have them scanned in various computers and have had so many copies notarised it's a bit ridiculous now. Where you can just verify by the electronic system they have online - because you *should* be a part of the electoral roll which verifies your address, thus removing the utility bill requirement, I can't as I'm not a citizen... hence the utility bill. And I think that's what you're running into with BetOnline. I had a mortgage with my name on it (albeit with the secondary person as my work owns the house), a notarised statement from the bank about that arrangement, bank account statement, CC account, immigration papers, 2 passports, etc. But they wanted a utility bill ie electricity, gas, mobile, water. For the life of me I couldn't understand why. I really felt like they wanted me to almost give a DNA sample, that's how frustrated I got.

Now that I have more of a history here in Australia things are a bit easier however I still have to go through the old school process - still not on the electoral roll, don't get Medicare, etc. That's how they check you initially. But if you don't have that, and obviously overseas institutions wouldn't have a clue of that info, that's when it gets a bit crazy. Again, let us know when you get your Neteller pymt. You'll get it. And I hope it doesn't put you off betting with offshore books entirely. Yeah the ID requirements are a bit onerous in certain situations but usually the lines and the bonuses offered make it worth it.

    Mh217,

Imagine an industry where no sportsbook ever enforced security procedures, KYC guidelines, asked for ID. Sounds good to you I bet, but even better to scammers everywhere. Keep a flash drive with docs prepared, then it'll take you all of 2 minutes to comply with industry standard requests.

Well the confidence with which you say that reassures me. I'm hoping that means you have been paid via Neteller from B.O. (haha acronym seems appropriate to me right now). What I.d. did you provide them if you can remember?

Well Lou I'm in the states and if I'm sending cash send me back cash..that's it plain and simple..you don't need to know my personal details..sports gambling is illegal anyway...so act like a bookie and pay my action..case closed..now if their are cc's involved I can see the I'd thing perhaps..otherwise just pay me my bet and be done with it...their is no scamming in play if you send cash..none of these pricks are giving you credit...bet islands doesn't harass you for I'd..neither does heritage...betonline does this all the time it seems.

I haven't yet submitted any additional i.d . (other than D.Lic & bank statement), but I've just had a couple emails from them being conciliatory and saying that my 'Neteller' request was 'successful' (but I have to wait 36 hours). The site still says 'waiting handler authorisation' though, which is what it said for 2 days before cancelling on me the last time. So I'm not getting my hopes too high. Even so, this appears the best progress in days and I'm pretty sure it happened only after I started mentioning SBR to them. A new (more senior) guy suddenly started sending me emails! So thanks to everyone for the help and advice, it seems ajcobb was right when he said SBR might be the majick word with them. Disappointing that you have to threaten to get it moving though. Hopefully I'll let you know if I get the money. If not I'll be back whingeing & whineing some more

This is true, as the only other book in Panama is SBR A+ rated legends and they don't offer payouts at all via MB right now (or really any other method), and when they do I am limited to $1k per month.

I want to say it was wire but it also might have been Neteller. One of the two. Unfortunately I've deposited much more there than I've ever withdrawn

They are solid though and you will get paid. I guarantee you that unless you're running some kind of scam - which I know you're not - you won't have any trouble getting your cash. The initial stuff is always a bit of a pain though. Someone like mh is in the US and can just ship cash at a Walmart and pick his withdrawal up at a 7/11 a week later. We do it in a different way obviously. You and I won't rock up to a servo who happens to have a P2P agent installed and ask for our money even though it's perfectly legal here. We're used to getting our cash the minute after the next calendar day ticks over, into our bank account. But to facilitate that, we send docs. And wait. And sometimes have to resend if the first copies were a bit fuzzy. It's a pain in the butt but in reality being super strict is what protects us all. If scammers had free reign on books, we might have to worry about being paid.

Well. As nice as it all seemed to be going. They didn't pay. They cancelled on me again. This time with the excuse that there were insufficient funds. I requested the balance in the account and on the form you complete on the site it clearly said 0.00 fees. But lo & behold, they now send me an email saying that I can't withdraw my balance because I have to account for their fees. 1st - what fees? 2nd - How can I pay them when they won't tell me what they are? Before I even put in the Neteller request - I sent them repeated emails specifically asking what the fees would be if I did it that way - no response. Now doesn't logic dictate that If I request the full balance - that means they can send me the balance minus the F***ing fee? So, I asked again - what is the fee. The response I've received tonight is I have to wait 24 hours more for processing. What - before you'll tell me what the freaking fee is? The tactic here is clear. Prolong and make the process as agonising as humanly possible until I grow so weary that I'll just play with the money so that maybe they'll never have to pay out. I've put in another request for my balance minus $20 - why? - well, your guess is as good as mine. Because I think I read somewhere on the pathetic site that it MIGHT be what they charge on Neteller transactions (although given EVERYTHING else written in their terms & conditions or on the site seems to be debateable, who knows). Maybe their fee will be 100% of my balance at their discretion. I'm pretty sure they'd be happy with that. BetOnline are a pack of scumbags, and I have posted a formal complaint here, and I have forwarded the relevant emails to SBR. God almighty - this is THE last time I'll ever trust an o/seas bookie. Pathetic

    Neteller
    $ 25 $ 8,000 $ 20.00 per txn 3/week
Your Neteller account will be credited within 36 hours. There's a maximum of 3 payouts per week, not exceeding the total of $8,000.00 per week, and always with a day in between (Monday – Wednesday – Friday). We can only payout via Neteller to players that have deposited via Neteller.

This is clearly listed. I wouldn't expect it in 36 hours though.

thanks Durito. I have now seen the same. That's why I deducted $20. But why is it up to me to do that rather than them? Especially when I followed their own online payout system, and the thing produced a readout that said 0.00 fees. Also, if you read up the top of the section you are quoting it says that fees will be waived at their discretion. So you can see that when there own system tells me $0.00 fees I might have assumed no fee. Also - I did ask them repeatedly after they refused B2B what my fees would be on Neteller and they never bothered responding. Also, as I said I'm now of the opinion that EVERYTHING written on their site is up for grabs given they've shown no propensity to stick to it themselves. Anyway, all that aside - if someone asks for the balance of their account - you just pay them the balance and deduct the applicable fee - don't you? Does a bank really expect you to deduct your own fees before they exchange your foreign currency or do they just hand you the payout minus the fee? It is all just a delaying tactic.

I got notice that MB is available for USA for gambling (the site should be in USA and the player in a legal state gambling).

Well thanks for that Lou. I had indeed read the same and if you read my reply to durito, you'll see I have little faith in anything they write on their site given I'm still waiting for them to produce the terms & conditions barring a B2B transfer unless you have 2 previous payouts by another means. The section Durito quotes is the very same section that clearly states you must have made 2 previous DEPOSITS for a B2B (which I had done). Go look for yourself. It seems to me they are happy to apply the regs when it comes to holding but not so much when it comes to paying out. I have no issue following policies and gamble online all the time. It's just that I haven't ever been subjected to the appallling lack of clarity, transparancy or communication that BetOnline has subjected me to with reputable and legal sportsbooks in Australia. I'm also not sure what policies you refer to. As I have pointed out in my earlier email, all the required I.D. (if it is that to which you refer) was sent to them days before they told me I hadn't sent it. This I.D., incidentally now seems to have been accepted by them. So clearly I am more than capable of following policy. Your listed as an Administrator. Will you be involced in anyway with reviewing my complaint. If so - well, I clearly might as well not bother. You obviously have an agenda.

I would find a new book ASAP! One with the best cash out options available. Betonline also has a 500 min for cash out. They can send a check, but it takes 30 freaking days, but funds get deposited within seconds. This is why I like using Caribsports as they paid out within 72 hours via FED EX, but the American government is putting a fix to stop this option.

    Google betonline scam.

It's BS you need to give all that personal information. Don't you worry about them selling that info and destroy your credit???

B+??? Come on now. I used them before and never got bonuses and their rules are crooked when coming to cashing out.

    Lou

Just got your email. Why the different tones from here to there? Did you not realise I was the same person? Guess you can disregard the bit about not bothering with the complaint, although I think that was already your approach anyway - lol. I'm obviously getting a bit heated about this but I did say I was a newbie to US books. I'm not used to this appalling lack of communication and clear directions about what to do. You indicate in the email that their terms have a typo in when it comes to PAYOUTS versus DEPOSITS for B2B. Funny that they are capable of getting the terms right when it comes to taking your money and applying their fees. Anyway Lou, no harm, no foul. Thanks for having a look for me anyway. Guess I'll build a bridge.

We notified them of the typo, it was responsible for another dispute similar to yours.

Player feedback has been clear in that general CS at BetOnline has been bad at times. It's something the managers know and are striving to improve. In regard to your post, I was responding to the sensationalist remark of "quitting offshore" -- just trying to stress that simple things like reading fees, etc, are necessary. Books in Panama and CR are a different animal than those in the UK or elsewhere, policies differ and communication isn't what you're accustomed to.

It doesn't sound like you need our help at this point, you correctly put in your current payment request. Let us know if the 36 hr time-frame is met.
