moneyboookers close my account for no reason will cost me thousands

can somebody here give me some advice or help me in my situation.
ive been gambling for 10 years or so and started using moneybookers 5 years ago or so. im a vip member and have been asked while im there if it is for gambling purposes and said yes. i regularly put money into sportsbooks and withdraw and have had no problem with that for the 5 years. all of a sudden out of nowhere they ask me for id..they asked me for id during sign up and another time. i send in the certified id the next day and then got a email saying my accounts closed for the reason section 4 and 17. i read through those terms and cinditions and found nothing ive done wrong.
gambling is legal in australia..im not a merchant im just a person who gambles...i havent opened more than 1 account...i sent in id when asked...i told them the account would be used for gambling.
so what exactly is the problem if i cant use them? welll i cant get my money out of a bunch of bookies now. betus closed my account because i kept winning there they sent me 5000 to moneybookers last week which i got and withdrew to my bank but i still have another 20 000 there say they can withdraw it through moneybookers or ** only....they said if theyre going to close it theyll have to do it through ** and that for every 2 thousand they send at a time it will cost me 300 dollars..so 3000 down the drain thanks to moneybookers right there..and atleast ill get my money at that bookie.5dimes said i can only withdraw through moneybookers..so there gos my 8000 there..sbobet i have 35000 there and am really worried about that one i assume ill neer get my money there as ive read thyey need a screen shot of my deopist there which ive gotten before moneybookers closed my account...the worry there is how will i ever get my moneey as when i clcik withdraw on the side it says moneybookers only...other bookies im worried about are sportsbook i used moneybookers to get my money out of there and wonder if ill ever see my 5000 there..i have money at betsson gamebookers 4000 or so and other bookies pinnale 5000 sportsbetting 8000. all up about 10 bookies or so in which i may never see my money again or make it hard to get my money thanks to moneybookers closing my account for no reason.

ive called there accounts being clocked customer service and got nothing out of them they just say the reason is section 4 and 17 and they cant provide me with any other details. ive called them a few times. they then said email security and ive sent them these 2 emails

hi i was wanting to know why my account is closed...you people said section 4 and 17.. and i see nothing there that ive done wrong...when i was asked if my account is used for gambling i said yes gambling is legal in australia. i only have 1 account open. i provided u with my cetified id. i have bookies that withdraw to my moneybookers and its hard to withdraw any other way.some dont withdraw any other way and one through ** which will cost me thousands of dollars.this is a big hassle when i havent done anything wrong..if your going to close the account can u say exactly what part ive breached.u only said the section which part of section 4 have i breached..ive called your moneybookers customer service and they said they cant provide me with any more detail..so how is it a account is closed and no one knows exactly why obviously someone had a reason and id like to know why. check the history money usually gos into sportssbooks and out..thats perfectly legal..there is no money laundering or anything going on.

it says that my account will be closed
i have tens of thousands of dollars in some sportsbooks that can only be withdrawn through moneybookers. i called them and they said theres no other way. can u allow me to withdraw my funds to moneybookers. if u dont want me using the site anyomre after i wont..i wont deposit any into any sportsbooks...but can u atleast let me get my money out of those accounts so that i dont lose all the money in them...u never gave me a warning so i could get my money out of the sportsbooks..this is going to cost me thousands of dollars because u didnt warn me and also i havent done anything wrong...this is terrible customer service and no one is saying what i did wrong.. i said i used it for gambling along time ago and have been with moneybookers for years.gambling is legal in australia and moneybookers is used to deposit and withdraw to bookies all the time.you shouldnt close peoples accounts and not give them a reason especially i that person will have thousands sitting in bookies in hich they cant get there money now thanks to you people and your refusal to tell me what i did and make it so they cant get there money without any warning

theyve told me i have to get my money outand yesterday i didive since gotten this message today when i tried to log into moneybookers.

Your account has been closed for security reasons. You should have received confirmation of this via email from our Security Department. Please note that this decision is now final and we apologise for any inconvenience caused.
in a email they said its indesputable. thanks to them im going to lose maybe 100000 or so in several accounts who wont pay me out. its pathetic that they can do this to someone without warning..atleast they coul.d have let me get my money out of those bookies who ive been with for well over 5 years. ive asked them if they can set up my moneybookers so that i can receive the money from merchants and if they dont want me putting money into sportsbooks to make it so i cant trasnfer money. that seems reasonable to me if they dont want me there anymore for whatever reason instead of costing me thousands of dollars.

can somone here help or tell me if theres any way i can get my money out of us sportsbooks or sbo without using moneybookers as with most of those i deposited using moneybookers and usually only allow u to withdraw through the method u used.is there a special circumstance where they allow u to withdraw another way as they understand moneybookers are complete idiots and do it to others..or dont they do this to others. can someone here tell me is this really indesputable and do i have any chance to let the open my account so i can receive my balances at those sportsbooks.

i actually know why this might have happened. my brother has a moneybookers account that he hasnt used for ages and had 1500 sitting in there hed only used moneybookers a few times and doesnt do sportsbetting. he tried to log in a few weeks and was asked for his id which he sent and they said to him section 4 and 17 The next week i got a email saying to send in my id and sent it then they said section 4 and 17 also.
the problem may be one that he lives at the same house and has the same bday as me that im trying to do something like have 2 accounts. Thats right thanks to having a twin brother u u may end up losing 100000.**** you moneybookers for being so insulting. if ths is the reason can i do anything about it as they said its indesputable.

thanks alot if anyone can help.

Your first remedy is to try to work with Moneybookers. Find out why the canceled your account, and offer them whatever they need.

If that doesn't work, contact each book where you have money, and try to find an alternative way to get a payout. The closure of your MB account raises red flags though. If your deposits were fraudulently funded, or if money was fraudulently sent to moneybookers, you will be out of luck.

If you are truly innocent, and cannot work something out with the books, fill out a complaint (see my sig) for each book where you have a balance. SBR will try to help.

If you explain to the books that you no longer have a Moneybookers account to which you can withdraw, I'm sure they will allow you to withdraw by some other means including Neteller.

I used to have accounts with both Moneybookers and Neteller but because of the books' policy of insisting on withdrawing only by the means I used to fund it became a real hassle as I didn't have control of where my money was going to go so I closed my Neteller account and when I ran into the issue of being advised that I had to withdraw to Neteller, I explained to them that I no longer had a Neteller account and they then allowed me to use Moneybookers to withdraw. At least one of them asked for evidence of the closure of my Neteller account and that was easy as I had an email from Neteller advising of my final withdrawal and closure of my account.

I have had maybe 10 similar complaints. In almost all 10 though, when a Moneybooker account was closed, it involved a fraudulent deposit. Neither Moneybookers nor the sportsbook actually got the money.

i contacted them by email a few days ago im still awaiting a response. i sent them in certified id and have done everythig they said over the years. i put it into those accounts using moneybookers and have never done anyting fraudulent. my bank is in my name my moneybookers is in my name i have 1 moneybookers account. the customer service at moneybookers is awful.how can they close peoples accounts and not even have on there system the reason in detail.
Im sure this is all because i have a twin brother who lives at the same house and has the same bday as me...out of all the times they ask me for id it was a few days after my brother tried to get his money out of his moneybookers. he hasnt used his account for a couple of years he used it a few times for ebay and the other day tried to get the money he had in there and told him to send in his id and now i find myself in this mess. he sent in certified id and they said his accounts closed..i sent in my certifieed i and my accounts closed..why did they even ask me for id then..its like here im sending in id to prove im me and innocent they accept it then just close it anyway. he doesnt even look like me we are not identical twins. he got the exact same emails as me and both got our accounts closed.pathetic moneybookers.

I have multiple accounts in different currencies in both mine and the wifes name (both moneyB & Neteller), so I doubt it's linked to this unless there is fraud involved.

Agree with all what's said above, and if its above board you will get to a solution; either they reinstate your account or books pay via a different method once you prove moneyB a/c is closed. If all else fails I would open a neteller a/c (I prefer Neteller to Moneybookers any day) and look to trade out my accounts to bf or something.

Have to say there must be some smoke here and more than meets the eye, if not seems it should be fine for working something out.

I successfully switched from MB to neteller in about 40 books. You just need to deposit first small amount with neteller, and when you request withdrawal, explain to CS that you dont longer have MB account.

filipinho said correctly. It's pretty easy to switch from moneybookers to neteller in most cases, you just need to explain that you no longer have the moneybookers account and you need to make a deposit via your neteller account.

Indeed ... I switched from Neteller to MB and I just told Pinnacle CS I do not want to work with Neteller anymore ... after a few days they let me use MB. Just talk to each book's CS and explain them that you do not have a MB account anymore.

i meant i deposited in there once through my bank when i opened my account to get money in there and since them havent deposited again. so ill just tell them to withdraw it through neteller. Its a hassle and hopefully sbo and sportsbetting.ag let me withdraw as i know from over the years that they are hard to get money from even though i never withrew from them i keep a look out for all that stuff for when i do withdraw. Betus who closed my account for winning to much said they have to do my withdrawals through **.so to give me the 20000 theyre going to send 2000 each week having to fork out 300 each time.ill wait for a response from security@moneybookers before i decide on the ** withdrawal at betus.

there is no fraud going on here..my bro had a account he opened yeasr ago and hadnt touched it for ages,,he logged in to check if hes money was in there as he left it in there so he could use it for whatever buying things off the net or whatever and it said he had to send in his id.he sent in ihis verified id and then they sent him a email saying his accounts closed and has to get his money out..i then got a email saying to send in my id a few days later.so im assuming theyre thinking that i am pretending im him or something..we both sent in ceritified id and we look completely different hesgot a shaved head and me ive never shaved my head in my life.To say that in most cases this happens when people do fraudulent transactions doesnt apply in this case as why is his closed then??he doesnt even do transactions with his account.he used it a few times. he doesnt even do sportsbeting and hasnt used his account for over 2 years. all i want form them is a reason why its closed not a we cant provide u with any more details from customer service.all they said is section 4 there is alot of different things there so how am i to know what they supposedly think ive done wrong.

If, as I suspect, they have seen fit to file a Suspicious Transaction Report they are precluded by law from telling you anything about the issue until it is resolved.

If I were you, I'd be making enquiries of their regulator about what you can do.

After the police/other authorities (FSA?) conduct an investigation.

Did your brother try to transfer you funds or vice-versa?

for the people who are saying theres more to the story or suspiscous transactions or fraudulent activity might be going on...ive been with them for 5 years and never do any fraudulent stuff a example being if someone gave me a opportinuty to have say get 1000 00 for free fraudulently or someone lost there wallet with say 10 000 id call them and give it back to them..i am not that sort of person.
once again my bros account was closed who just wanted to get his money out as he hasnt used his account for a couple of years and didnt want to use them..why is his account closed then mine a few days later and its the exact same thing they ask for a cetritified id which we both sent in and then both got the same emails saying the accounts are closed.? it has got to be they think that maybe i am him

It likely is that -- and identity fraud is one of the things financial regulators check for..

    See, for example, http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/articles/32...ling-fraud.htm

Keep your email correspondence with them.

The OP's unfortunate experience has most probably come about because his brother is a twin and thus has the same birthdate which probably rang alarm bells in Moneybooker's security system.

santo so now what?...me and my twin live at the same house and have the same bday.he didnt even use his moneybookers more than a few times..and hadnt touched it for a couple of years.so its not like that account could abuse anything. because of there incompetence i now automatcially lose 3000( betus said they cant send the money any other way to australian customers than **..and have to go through the hassle of getting money out of bookies like sbo without a moneybookers account ( people know its hard enough to get money out of those accounts with a moneybookrs account im worried if ill ever see that money come out of sbo without a moneybookers account).

If the books refuse to pay out, raise a case with SBR. BetUS have other means -- the money transfer services / bank wires if all else fails and SBR could talk to them about that (assuming no evidence of fraud).

If Moneybookers won't reply to you your only course of action is to contact SBR (and ask them to pursue it) and if they can't, then to go through the FSA process -- http://www.fsa.gov.uk/doing/contact

It's not rocket science, but I would:

    A) Write to Moneybookers explaining the issue in detail and also explaing your relation/history etc.. with evidence.

    B) Create a neteller a/c

    C) If A doesn't work then try to change payment/withdraw method with books (to neteller or bank)

    D) If none of the above work:

    - Lose the money from the site and hedge on another book
    - Make your formal complaints with FSA etc..

Personaly I find it hard to beleive there isn;t more to this that you may or may notknow. In my expereince there must mbe a lot of smoke somewhere for them to take this action.

ultimately though you can write them whatever you want: if they don't want you as a customer for god knows what reason, not much you can do as long as they reimburse you the funds that were in the MB-account. Additional costs can be a bitch obviously, but nothing you can do there except open up a Neteller-account.
