Transactions... so if you make 5 bets all at once and they all get confirmed together, that is ONE transaction. I don't know the numbers by individual wager but I'm sure it would at least double if not triple the number.

    LOL @ "small fraction"

Pinnacle easily does 200,000 individual wagers a day... there's no way that's a "small fraction" at any book in the world.

Also, during my brief visits there I have seen them take upper 5 figure call in wagers rather routinely.

Should still have some balls and figure out a way to sneak back into the US market. Why can't they just do what 5dimes does?

They do not take 200,000 wagers per day

A solid Book for USA market during week will take 1k-3k wagers per night

My theory is they had made a LOT of money and did not want the processing or legal headaches. It was sort of a semi retirement move although I have heard they have finally surpassed their early '07(pre pull out) volume.

I dont know where you got that number, but at least as per alexa their traffic ranking is twice that of 5dimes with close to 9000 and 5dimes close to 18000

well that might depend on what you call 'small' but at something in the order of 2.5m+ trades a day, I would say Betfair has a pretty comprehensive lead over Pinnacle in that department

and then take into account all the retail shops owned by the big UK bookies and by Tabcorp (2500+), Pinnacle's number isn't really that huge

ngates your attitude resemble a lot the attitude of patients affected with Alzheimer's disease. You should get a check-up with your shrink. There are new genetic test for early diagnosis and treatment.

I don't have the numbers handy but would estimate that they write a whole lot more tickets in the shops and on course than online. Racing is most definitely their prime volume.

Online they would probably write a large volume of exotic betting tickets for pro. punters but not much straight betting.

You just confirmed the diagnosis of dementia, my question is: Is it alzheimer or alcoholic dementia. Do you ride Harleysdavidson and spend most of the time drunk? That will probably classify you for the alcoholic dementia.
